It sounds like a lot of fun to go to a meeting of folks from these boards. A grand event for the opening of a DVC resort has not been done before. They did have a Member Cruise but no event of this scale has ever been done before at WDW. It's success will probably determine if they do it again in the near future. However, to be clear, the Member Homecoming Event requires a ticket. It is $299 per per person (or $249 if you have an AP and $279 for children 3-9). It includes admission to the parks for May 25 & 26 and the following events:
