Hi everyone!
I'm not a DVC owner-although I plan on it as soon as we clear up some of our other financial obligations
I'm curious as to what the Member's Homecoming is (that's what the MH stands for I hope!!) and when it's held?I've seen some mention of it on the boards today.

Very good! Yes, "MH" means Member Homecoming. It's the first time DVC has done something like this and it's tied into the opening of SSR. I forget the exact dates May25-27, I think? Members have to buy tickets and will be having several special events including an after hours party in MK and a party at SSR.

So it's not an annual event or anything like that? Just something that DVC does to celebrate another resort opening I guess. Does that mean that only SSR members can go or if (when is more like it) I buy into SSR and they open another resort I could theoretically go to one then? It sounds like fun, I would love to meet up with other DVC members- once my turn comes to not be "homeless"
Hope they continue it -like I said, it sounds like a great time!

go look on the dis meet board - there will be a big meeting and everyone from this site is invited - if you are a DVC member or not - so if you are in Orlando on May 25 -

The meet sounds fun-I guess I'll just have to wait until we go again-

It sounds like a lot of fun to go to a meeting of folks from these boards. A grand event for the opening of a DVC resort has not been done before. They did have a Member Cruise but no event of this scale has ever been done before at WDW. It's success will probably determine if they do it again in the near future. However, to be clear, the Member Homecoming Event requires a ticket. It is $299 per per person (or $249 if you have an AP and $279 for children 3-9). It includes admission to the parks for May 25 & 26 and the following events:

20040525 Dvc Member Homecoming! (updated 2/18)

We're meeting in the food court area of the land and everyone is welcome. It will be at 3pm so before the Member Homecoming. It was designed as a gathering of those going to MH so we can all get to know each other - like we did on the Member Cruise. We're doing it earlier in the day so that even those who aren't doing MH can join in the fun.

We had a great time on the Member Cruise and I'm looking forward to an equally great time at Member Homecoming!
