MGM - which counter service?

WE are big "counter service" people, but MGM's counter service is really bad. The only one that is okay is Pizza Planet. We usually do 50s Prime Time instead. This time we are going to try leaving and eat on the boardwalk.

Since several of you like the idea of going to BW for lunch, how about, since I'll have a hopper pass, going to Epcot for my meal?! They have some great counter service restaurants in the World section.

The lack of decent restaurants at MGM always creates a glitch in my trip planning. These quality of food sounds very inconsistent. Would be great to hear things have improved. Loved the breakfast at H&V, then they did away with it and the other meals there are yuch. Any experiences with counter food left us underwhelmed and frustrated that we threw away money. We did eat at Prime Time last year and enjoyed it, so will try that again this year.

Another vote for the ABC Commissary! They have more than just burgers and fries, and it was very tasty! Fast, and not too expensive(relatively speaking, of course.)
