MGM to Epcot ?

Can we take the boat from MGM to Epcot if we are staying onsite at CBR? How long does it take? We would like to go to Epcot for dinner.

Yes, you can. Actually, anyone can use any of the WDW transportation, as long as they have park passes, even those staying off-site.
As far as how long it will take....a lot of variables. If there is a boat loading and getting ready just as you get there, it would take about 25 minutes. It is not a direct run. The boat will stop at the Swan/Dolphin first, then YC/BC, then over to BW (those two may be reversed, can't remember), then it's off to the International Gateway at Epcot.
There is a pathway from MGM that runs past BW, and takes you to Epcot. The walk is about 20 minutes. Just head out of MGM, head off to the left, with the canal on your left, all the way to the Boardwalk area. At this point go right, walk along the boardwalk, and head to Epcot. It's very easy, very well lit, and safe.

Actually I just asked this of one of the boat captains Saturday night. It's 30-35 minutes dock to dock, add another 5-10 to actually get into the park.

We ended up walking at a fast pace and got from the International Gateway at Epcot to inside MGM in 25 minutes.

Thanks Anne...now I have more 'correct' info. I like the walk as long as it isn't raining or hot/humid.

Any time I have thought of doing that walk, I I have never have walked the MGM walk. Have walked lots of times from Swan/BW/Y&BC to Epcot, but never have walked to nor from MGM. Maybe in my younger, pre-Disney days I could have done it.

DS and I are both walkers, and we hadn't been trudging around the parks all day--we didn't even get to Epcot that day until about 4:30. We started that walk at about 7:20 PM, so it was nice and cool and not at all humid--really very pleasant!

It is a very nice walk! We did it last trip after Fantasmic over to Epcot for EMH. There is a slight shortcut by the Luna Park pool. Go straight through the hotel & you'll end up in the middle of the Boardwalk. Saves a few steps if you need to.
