Great shots, Gdad - nothing to apologize for. And I think you had a lot better seats that we did when we saw it last year - unfortunately, I could barely watch it as my son decided to get really cranky, and we'd left his pacifier in his stroller - this was when he was only nine months old. Oops! I had planned on videotaping it but again - that was left in the stroller, too! I did take some video with my camera that turned out OK but nothing astonishing.
We never got a chance to do it this past trip, so I have nothing to show from the "good" camera - the closest we even got was walking through the Osborne lights. I would have liked to, being a car nut, but alas... another problem is that my wife has a bit of vertigo and the risers go so high up that she is not anxious to climb them again! From the seats we had before, we were wayyyyyyy too far to get any decent shots even with the 12x zoom.
I do occasionally enjoy watching videos I've downloaded of the show. Even beyond other stuff, it's very impressive from both a technical level (the way the cars are built) and of course, the skill level of the drivers deserves a lot of respect. Being a stunt driver is something that I always thought would be a lot of fun, and I can tell you from the "on-or-past-limit" driving I've done (autocrosses, racetrack, snow/ice, etc), it is a lot harder than it looks to consistently do the same move over and over!
Hopefully next trip, I'll be able to squeeze it in and have some decent shots to compare.
Oh, and regarding your topic title: there are
two MGM stunt shows, don't forget about poor Indy!
