MGM studios ....Help

Hi,
Does anyone know how you become a volunteer on the backlot tour at MGM...the one on the boat where they all get wet? My D.D and her cousins would like to do this when we are there next year

When you walk up to the entrance to the tour, if they still need volunteers there will be someone out front asking if you want to take part. If you make sure to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early and ask, you should get the chance.

I managed to get on the sub on Earthquake one year which was a great laugh I hope your DD and her cousins manage it and have agreat time

We were at the front of the queue when we went on this ride and they asked us if anyone wanted to volunteer, we didn't as we hadn't a clue what was going to happen. The woman next to us did but came back when she knew as she decided she didn't want to get wet.

as i recall, you have to be at least 16 years old...
my kids did this a few years back..

Thanks for all your replies. DD and only 1 of her cousins will be 16 when we go, which is a shame as it was the younger ones (13 & 14) who really wanted do it.

my dh did this, he was the captain of the ship-we volunteered him
if you are one of the first in the queue, you will get asked

We were one of the very last to join the queue last year and we were asked, maybe they were having a bad day for volunteers. Make sure you have your cameras and video cameras out if a party member volunteers - the pics and vid are priceless!
