we saw them last year on accident and loved them. do they list the times they perform in the park map/schedule or is there a place to go to find out when and where they will perform.

I don't remember seeing a schedule for them on the park map, but I don't think I looked for them either. I love them too, it is always a fun treat when we run into them on our way to a ride (or wherever!).

Maybe someone else can help you!! Anyone?? :3dglasses

I am not sure about a schedule - but I know they really worked the crowds lining up for the parades. They started about an hour before the parade was due to start.

Unfortunately, I haven't found a schedule-and believe me, I've looked! To me, they are by far the most entertaining thing in MGM. Everything else is OK, but they are just fabulous! I'm such a fan. I've gone to MGM, gotten a Mickey bar, and just sat on a streetside bench, waiting for them to show up and perform.

They don't have a posted schedule, but when you see them just ask what times they will be out and they will be glad to tell you. Their schedule changes weekly I think. They will do skits every hour from approx. 2 to 7. The difference is if they come out on the hour, on the half-hour, quarter past, etc. We've had conversations with several of them. If you catch them before one of their skits they will talk to you in character (and sometimes if others aren't around, out of character).

Also they are called Streetmosphere Characters. They do other things as well. The announcers for the parade are characters. One of the characters used to be a host for Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Play It! Another one used to be a World Showcase Player at Epcot. One of my favorite characters, Ronny McDonny, was a host for the Star Wars Weekends parade and the SWW celebrity talk show.

I know I've seen them a couple of times in the late morning too. And one day, when it was really hot, one of the characters was in Sid Cahuenga's, performing there.

Go to Guest Services at the front of the park and a CM will call back to their "office" and ask what times they are performing and where they are performing. We've done this quite a few times. Normally, however, you can't miss if you look for them around 5:00. You can either find the Public Works Dept by the 50's Prime Time, or the "regular" (if you can call them regular :rotfl2: ) on Hollywood Blvd. We love them too. We've gone to MGM just to watch them!

Thanks for the great suggestion! I'll definitely do that next time I'm at MGM.
