MGM Street Performers

Last year my DH and I were walking on Sunset Blvd. when a car pulled up with the beautiful brunette in a red evening gown. She came over to us and said "hello." We talked for a little while and then she sprung it on me, "We are doing a show and would like you to be in it." Now I'm not the type to go do something like this but what the heck, this is Disney! I know I was blushing but I agreed. It turned out to be the Dating Game!

I was seated in a chair in the midle of the street and had to ask questions that they gave me. The Italian director was there (I recognized his voice), the suave actor, and the country nerd. The funniest part was watching my DH sitting on the curb laughing so hard he cried! Somehow I got through it and when it was time to choose my date, I Had to pick the nerd! The crowd roared. It was soooo much fun. I even got my dates picture and autograph. Francis Floot. Plaid coat, high water pants with an old suitcase in his hand.

If you ever get a chance to be put in one of these street performances, DO IT! It's a memory I'll never forget!

Picture it... Sunset Blvd... 2005 (January 24, to be precise).
I was sitting on a bench with a couple of friends and minding my own business....

Aw, who am I kidding???

I snagged a good spot to watch Streetmosphere and I knew it. I wore my "It's My Birthday" buttons (honestly) in all their glory. Still, I figured that I'd caught enough sets over the last couple of years that I was too familiar a face to be a target. Besides, we were there just hanging out and none of us had a camera. I should've known better. A brief chat with Tella Marelle and next thing I know I get two sit in the coveted director's chair get my choice of 3 of Hollywood's hottest hunks (or at least Stone Granite, Alberto Dante, and Francis Floot). Consequently, I'm among the many who've won a trip to the LaBrea Tar Pits with Francis. Is there some sort of support group for that? Are we all Francis Floozies?

... and then there's the time that I got accused of cheating on my own improv group all because of Streetmosphere and their blasted '99' format. Oops!

Hi Francis,

I had a difficult time learning how to post pictures, but once I got it, it really is not too bad.

First you do have to have the correct number of posts to do this.
Then you have to load your pictures onto someone else's site (I've tried using this Dis board site, but I keep timing out). You cannot use the Kodak site or your pictures come out like an red X.

After you download your pictures onto another site, you click on your picture so it shows up on your monitor. Then right click, and then click on properties.

You'll see stuff on the left hand side - find where it says address and copy this. I click and drag.

Next go into this thread and you'll see a yellow envelope up top here. It's on the B I U line underneath the (Font) (Size) (color).

Clicking on that yellow envelope, a box will come up. Hit control V (for pasting) and your picture will paste into the thread.

Good luck.
See you in May

LoveMickey,

Thank you so much for all those detailed directions on how to post pictures! I am from Alabama...so color ME overwhelmed! I think I'll have to chew on that for a while and perhaps just post them on my pending "Francis Floot Official Fan Club" website. (Comin' soon!)

You are very kind to help me out with this!

Best,

Francis

"Francis Floozies" huh? That's swell! But, I think we'd better call my MALE fans "Flooties!"

Thanks for coining the phrase. I am feelin' more famous every day!

Best,

Francis Floot

OMG - Francis Floot!! Are you the one that carries a ginormous cell phone to call your mama and tell her about the movies you've been in? My husband and I saw you in February, and I just about peed in my pants I was laughing so hard. I tried to find you the next day, but you weren't there. I have to see you again when I go in April. Is there any way to find out when you'll be out trying to get famous??

Thank you so much for posting these pictures, they are wonderful!!! :) Makes me miss my favorite park :cloud9: even more! Can't wait to meet the new Citizens  but sad to hear that some have left :guilty:

We were at MGM over Christmas and we loved the street performers! They were so funny, my kids still talk about how funny they were. Sadly enough, we were laughing so hard we forgot to take pictures. The skit we saw them do was about Ms. Marashino and her missing dog....does anyone have pics of this performance they could post and that I could use for my own personal scrapbooks?

Thanks,
Monica

Hello Monica! We call that little ditty "Whodunnit?" and we are pleased that you enjoyed it so much. I wonder if you saw it with Officer Edwin Sideman in it? He was always my favorite Hollywood cop. I miss him.

I personally have no pictures of that one to share with you, though I wish I did. Maybe someone else here will be able to come through for you. I sure would love to see them, as well!

Best,

Francis Floot

Dear Friends and "Flooties,"

As we all know, "Hollywood" is a fickle broad. As much fun as I have had pounding the streets trying to get famous, it seems that the Bigwigs in town have decided that, for a couple of months, anyway, I must take a trip abroad to film a movie! I finally received my big break! I look forward to the opportunity but will miss Hollywood while I am away.

In my place you will meet my good friend Warren Bundersniffle. He is the Hollywood Cameraman on the NEW "In The Can" film crew...and he looks almost EXACTLY LIKE ME! You might even make the mistake of thinking that Warren IS me. (As much as I LIKE Warren, I would like to think that I am much better lookin' than he is!) Some people think that we are brothers, but, as far as I know...we are not.

So, although I learned this news just today, I wanted to share it with all of my friends who are planning on coming to Hollywood to seek me out in the next few months. If you DO come between now and, say, June, LOOK FOR WARREN. He will definitely be expecting you. I promise you that if you know Francis, you will know Warren, too!

I am just hoping that you will like him as much as you like me!

I'll be back soon! In the meantime, my website will be up soon and I can keep in touch with you that way! Feel free to email me anytime that you please. I'll do my very best to respond to each and every one.

Best,

Francis Floot

The infamous Captain Sideman

I'll miss him, too.

Good luck with that movie, Francis. Break a leg.

This a such great news to know that one of my fresh face discoveries, Mr Francis Floot, will now be filming a movie. I wish you best of luck in the ground breaking roll of the Bumblebee in your upcoming movie "Shoe Floot, Dont Bother Me". I myself am proud to say that my film crew is a well oiled machine with the addition of Camera Man Warren Bundlesniffle. I got quite a deal as they threw him in when I bought the camera at the Hollywood Used Film Equipment Yard Sale and Relic Emporium.

We are hoping to begin a few shots next week so make sure all of the extras are ready for thier time on camera! Later its Lasagna and Lemoncello for everyone!

Oh Mr. Fellini, I look forward to seeing you, Warren, and the rest of your film crew at work on Hollywood Blvd. when I visit in May! Is your new movie "Fishing for Pesce" the long awaited sequel to "Pescing the Night Away"? I absolutely loved that movie!

Sign me up for the Limoncello! Yummmmmm!!!!

On one trip I remember seeing one of the Streetmosphere characters inside Sid Cahuenga's. She was sitting on the floor showing everyone her family pictures. When she tried to stand up, it wasn't the most lady-like! And I remember she wore the brightest red lipstick that she kept reapplying. Does anyone else ever remember seeing her? Or the actress (I think it was Gabriel Huntington) who was auditioning for a new bodyguard? Those 2 women look enough alike to be sisters, I think. Has anyone seen them? I heard that at least one of them had knee surgery several months back, so I haven't seen either one around lately. I wonder if I will in May.

Delores Deluca , My Script girl is working on that as we speak. I will let you know what we are filming in May after I approve the rewrites. Perfection is ever changing and art is never finished, mearly abandoned.

Well, Francis, I'm glad to hear you got your big break! I will miss your phone calls home to mama! I will be sure to look for Warren Bundersniffle, though, and hope that he will be able to entertain me as much as you did! :thumbsup2

NOOOOOOOO!!!!
:sad2:

Miranda, that's how I feel too! NOOOOO!!! I was so looking forward to seeing Francis Floot in May. Something about that plaid suit.... hmmm....

So now I'm on a "find Warren" mission - LOL! As soon as someone gets a picture of this new cameraman, can you post for all of us?

We can't be called "flooties" anymore :( Is there a new name perhaps for us now?

We'll be on a Warren mission in May.

Would love to see pictures before hand.

I'll be on a Warren mission in April! I promise to get a picture if I find him!
