Kids decided they wanted to eat at Sci Fi one day at MGM. We were able to walk in for an early supper around 4:30 and get a car in about 10 minutes. They originally told us all the cars were booked for the night and we would get a table so we were suprised when we were led to a car. DD got the standard cheeseburger and fries and DS had the mac 'n cheese while I tried the chicken BBQ/no cheese and onion rings. Well the burger came out without cheese and I got fries and no onion rings. It was quickly taken care of by our waiter and he appologized. The kids enjoyed their meals. My sandwich was a bit dissapointing and the BBQ sauce didn't have much flavor. The onion rings were very good and I couldn't even finish them, but I tried!
We like the cheesy sci fi clips and they seemed different than when we visited last. The dark was a nice break from the sun and the heat.
Our favorite snack at the studios is just about anything we can find at the sweet shop. We had m&ms in many colors, sour jelly belly beans, flavored sugar, candy apple, caramel apple (no lost tooth this year!), and the mickey rice crispy treat. These we will take to Fantasmic to eat while we wait. While everyone's eating popcorn and pretzels we're on a sugar high!
