I am wondering the best place for dinner in MGM. I was going to do the fantasmic package but the 50's prime time cafe looks pretty good to me. Any suggestions on good dining experiences? I really don't mind if we don't do the fantasmic package I can just wait in line for the show.

IMO Hollywood and Vine has the best Fantasmic Dinner package! The buffet had a lot of variey for adults and especially kids. We're returning in a few weeks and I'm going to Prime Time and Hollywood on the same day! PT for lunch and HW for dinner! Not doing the package though since I hate to eat at 4:30pm.

Prime Time is a trip and the food is great. I felt like I was in my Aunt Ruby's kitchen.

Have fun!

DH and I ate at Brown Derby for our Fantasmic package in August and we both had delicious meals. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again. :flower:

I would definately do 50s prime time, the food is wonderful and the theme is also the best. However i've never done the fantasmic package so that might be a better deal. But If it was me i'd rather wait in line and eat at 50s prime time. And you could always do it later in your trip if you want to do the fantasmic package.

We ate at MM on our last trip for Fantasmic and really enjoyed it. We have also had H&V and enjoyed it as well. One of things about MM we enjoyed was being waited on. After a long day in the park it is nice to sit at the table awhile and have the food brought to you. The desserts are fantastic! I think we have had lunch at 50's which might be an option for you as well. Just food for thought!

I would have eaten anything not to stand in the queue for decent seats for Fantasmic, but just so happens I had eaten at Mama Melrose and enjoyed the food, would eat again but this time I am going to Hollywood and Vine, people say this is good also but again I am just eating at it because of the Fantasmic thing. Might try Brown Derby one day also as people say that’s the best of the 3, so soon as I have tried all 3 (should be in the next 5 years) I will let the forum know ;)

p.s. I am shocking eater, can't stand salad and hate most vegetables and so unless you’re into meat, pizza and pasta then I might not be the best restaurant guide on this forum ;)

We've been to both 50sPTC and Hollywood and Vine. Both are excellent and both times we gave up our fantasmic seating ticket to someone else as DW was sick. (morning sickness at night!)

Another vote for The Brown Derby. Great classy atmosphere and the food was delicious! One of our favorite meals at WDW. And the service was outstanding also.
