Ok, I want to know what everyone thinks of the following options: 50's Primetime or Hollywood & Vine / Brown Derby for Fantasmic Package. I'm having a hard time choosing!!

I picked PrimeTime. The food is good and you can't beat the atmosphere. I've eaten at the other 2 and was not really impressed.

So far its 50's Primetime leading, which is where I wanted to go in the first place:) Its just not having the fantasmic pkg....

We did the HBD, the food was very good. The only thing is it was a rich meal and for us it was a bit early in the day at 6pm. We are considering H&V for next time as it is a lighter meal for a theme park.

Have never done the Fantasmic dinner package, but from what I have read here the seats are way off to the side. We LOVE the 50's PT and eat there every trip!

When we did the Fantasmic dinner package last fall, we got to sit anywhere we wanted.

Sorry, I would pick Mama Melrose.......

Last Spring, DH and I did the Fantasmic pkg w/ H&V. The food was great and our server was atentive (if I remember correctly- DH has a better memory than me when it comes to those things).

*Please no flames!* :)

We looked at the menus from the other two places you mention and weren't that thrilled with either of them. (50s didn't look all that appealing and HBD looked a little too weird for us). But everybody has their own tastes, which is why Disney has such a great variety of restaurants![/FONT

50's is my favorite MGM restaurant but I do want to try HBD with the fantasmic package next time. The only thing I would advise if you go here is to pay out of pocket. It would be a waste of 2 TS credits here since the FDP is only $38 per adult and $11 per child! You would essentially be wasting an entire days' worth of TS credits to eat here on the DP...

I voted for Brown Derby, though I would pay out of pocket for it. There are very few restaurants that I would use 2 TS credits for. That is what we are doing in May.

I didn't add Mama Melrose's to the poll because, well..I don't like it :duck:
And sci-fi doesn't appeal to us. I think we will do 50's primetime. Thanks everyone for voting!

Is there a set menu for those prices?

i picked BD as it was easliy the best meal we got our last trip even though 2 ts would be painful to part with...holly wood and vne we haven't gone to but i don't like buffets and primetime was so so when we went ( could have been what we got, you never know)so i probably would part with the 2 ts for a good meal

just read the rest and agree about paying out of pocket for bd, better idea than the 2 ts unless you want to use it for the bd and go somewhere cheaper for out of pocket( like we always go to Trails' end for hubby which is only 18 or so i think so i would do 2 ts at bd then pay for te cheap cheap cheap i know i am :teeth: )
