MGM/Pop Warner question

I've read on these boards before that the main impact to the parks during Pop Warner week is that they shut down MGM for that group one night. Based on last year's hours, I would guess that happened on Friday night.

This year, the currently posted hours for MGM say 9-8 all week the week of Dec. 4. I'm planning on Friday being my MGM day, but I want to change that if it will close early for PW.

Does anyone know if that's just a last minute hours posting change or if they're not going to MGM this year?

I really don't think they shut it down, I think they keep it open later for them, but not 100% sure. I have seen this question posted before, no one seems to know the answer!

I read somewhere they are having it on Friday night this year. We were there one time on the day of their party. The park got very crowded late in the day, especially on ToT and RnR, they probably were admitted early. Osborne Lights closed promptly at closing time.

I read some where it will be the 9th. and they just keep the park open late for them.

We were there last year and went to MGM that Friday. The park got very crowded in the afternoon- we ended up leaving early. I do think they close it around 7:00 and keep it open just for the group- not sure on that one though. If I remember correctly, they adjusted the park hours closer to time. They had a big stage setting up in front of the hat all day for them.

When we went at the same time the Pop Warner kids went in '03, they closed MGM at 7ish, and then reopened it around 8 for the kids. It wasn't open for the general public. There were a ton of kids heading over there at that time.
