Help from you veterans, please :sunny:
I am planning on 1 day at AK, 2 for Epcot and
I wanted to do 2 at MK/ dying to go....can hardly wait......
want to move in there.......just know I will want to go back....and we have yet to go :rotfl2:
anyway, I think the manly man will NOT want 2 days there, should i go to MGM, we have no kids, or have him go and me myself enjoy the MK? Do any of you send the significant others to where they want and go by yourself? Does this sound bad...rude,....or ....mean?
I have waited nearly 40 years for this since I was the castle on tv in the early 70's and want to live and breath it... :hourglass 81 days to go ................ :rolleyes1

I think you should try to do at least a 1/2 day at MGM. It is a lot of fun!! The shows alone are worth going for--Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, etc.. Maybe take a look at the list of attractions and have hubby pick 2-3 and you pick 2-3 and spend the morning seeing those things. Then take a break and go back to MK in the evening. Or if you are up to it, go straight there.

HTH!!

We loved MGM so much we had to squeeze in two days during our recent trip when we had planned only one.

Fantasmic is my absolute favorite show at the World. ToT is my favorite ride. Beauty and the Beast stage show is splendid.

I say at least give it a chance and, if you hate it, hop back over to MK.

Have a wonderful trip!!!

I love MGM. You should really try to go, the shows are fabulous!

Please let us know what you decide to do!!!

I couldn't imagine leaving MGM out of our trip! I agree with the OP, Fantasmic is an amazing show--it IS our favorite nighttime show.

RNRC is a "not to be missed" so is TOT.

We also love Muppets 3D, the shows, backlot tour. We just really like that park. It's smaller and is a bit more laid back (imo) but always something to do there.

I would give it a try, if I were you!

Whoa, whoa, whoa...Level of manliness and being at the Magic Kingdom are NOT mutually exclusive! :teeth:

That said, you should take in MGM. Mr. Manly will likely enjoy RnRC and ToT. :)

We really dont like MGM. We find that there is nothing to do there (we dont go on Rock n roller coaster or TOT) and Fantasmic was a disappointment for us. I think you should go to MK and enjoy yourself there (its a great park, with lots to see and do).

I really like MGM, so me personallly, would do one long day at Epcot, and 2 days at MK .. or if you don't have kids, maybe one day at MK, but definately try to do MGM a day..
It is worth it!

Given everything you've said, and given the fact that you have no children and can probably move at a quick pace, I would take that second day and split it between MK and MGM.

I think Fantasmic is an awesome show, so I'd probably do the morning at MK (I love mornings there best anyway) and then the afternoon/evening at MGM. You could do Tot and/or RnR, maybe a show or two, the movie ride, and then Fantasmic. Sounds like a great day to me! :thumbsup2

HTH,

I have been married 30 years and we often do different activities while on vacation - ie, Vegas - he plays blackjack, I might go shopping or to another casino - we just set a place to meet up and it is great fun!

I think you should go to MGM and see if you like it, then you could just go back to MK and meet up with him later for dinner somewhere - what is wrong with that?? What does he think of all this? Would he mind going alone? If so, why?

IMHO, you don't need a full day at AK, do half a day there, hal at MGM. You will want to hit some of the great rides at MGM.

MGM is worth seeing. Lots of shows and some good shopping

I agree with the earlier posters. You should try and allocate 1/2 day or more. There is plenty to see and do. Fantasmic is a must!

As for DW and I, MGM is by far our least favorite park in the World. Don't know if that's because of the layout (quite confusing, IMO), or the fact that it features the least amount of attractions that we're interested in. Really, MGM just seems, well, the least Disney, and, actually, the most cynical and crass, of all the parks (and I know many who would argue this point and give the Most Crass award to Chester and Hester's Din-O-Rama in AK). And, as for Fantasmic!, it's definitely worth seeing once, but pales in comparison to both Wishes!, and the biggie, Illuminations. Also, though the MK takes a beating regarding dining options on this board, we find MGM the most lackluster in this area as well.

As for me, my favorite park is EPCOT, with the MK a very, very close second. But we've made a pledge: Next trip, we go to MGM first (instead of front-loading our trip with visits to our favorite parks) and maybe just the sheer thrill of being once again at Walt Disney World will improve our opinions of this park.
