MGM or AK ?

Because of our short stay and scheduling conflicts with mvmcp and fantasmic dinner package, we have only one extra morning to spare. Should we choose MGM or AK? Me my DH and DDs 15 and 11. Any advice would be appreciate.

MGM (I am bias but can admit it) but I do believe your kids will enjoy MGM better.

I've never been to AK (yet), but I'm still biased to MGM, just for Star Tours and Muppets 3-D!

I personally like AK better than MGM - couple big rides for your kids like Dinosaur and EE, and a nice atmosphere. Just my opinion though...

At their ages they probably like the bigger rides. So describe the big rides at each park and let them pick. MGM is Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror. Animal Kingdom is Expedition Everest and to a lesser extent Dinosaur, Kali and the Safari.

MGM is so much better!! Don't miss "One Man's Dream" it's what WDW is all about.

MGM is great....but if you have not been on Everest yet, go to AK

I'd say AK because there's 1 or 2 new things there, and MGM is all of the same rides and shows from last year, no new things!!!

I prefer AK by far, but since you have teenagers, they may prefer MGM.

My family of 5 prefers AK. But there's a LOT of walking to be done in AK.

MGM is our least favorite park. We love AK and our 12 and 14 yo nephews enjoyed it a lot this past week also. That being said, RnRC is awesome as is ToT and Fantasmic, but those are the only 3 things I go for at MGM. AK on the other hand is an all day experience for us. Go through the rides at each park and see what rides your kids would rather do and go from there.

Thanks for your help. I will tell the girls about each park and see what peaks their interest. We leave in 6 days!!!!

We much preferred AK, but I couldn't get anyone to go on the coaster or Tower of Terror with me. If they like thrill rides, MGM is probably better. The one thing to consider at MGM is that the shows are only at certain times. If you only have a morning, you won't get to see more than one or two. We had a lot of down time, waiting for a show to start. At AK, there was too much to do, and it was all such fun! Have a fun trip!

My personal pick would be AK, but based on your kids ages, I think MGM might be the better option.

I would pick AK, but it really depends on your kids interests. AK is more walking, but is a more "laid back" park-- Much more to look at where MGM is more of a thrill park. We could spend all day in AK, but only half day at MGM. We love the Beauty and the Beast show, TOT, RNR and the Great Movie Ride but thats about it.
