MGM or AK ?

If you want to see shows go to MGM. The rides there won't appeal to young kids and the major ones they won't be able to get onto anyway due to height restrictions. AK still has a few shows (don't miss Lion King)and some rides the family can enjoy together(Safari, Triceretop Spins, maybe Kali River Rapids). They can also ride the train to Rafiki's Planet watch and see the critters there. I just think of Ak as more family oriented and MGM more for older kids and adults.

I would say go to MGM...Dd4 liked that park much better than AK. The Beauty and the Beast show and Voyage of the Little Mermaid are both excellent shows. Also, Playhouse Disney is pure magic. All the little kids get so excited to see Bear, JoJo, Stanley and Pooh, and the audience sits of the floor so the kids can dance, jump around and sing. This is also the only park where kids can meet the Playhouse Disney characters. Other good meet and greets here are Sully and Mike from Monsters Inc and Sorceror Mickey (mommy, I have to see magic Mickey...he's magical). Muppetvision is a cute movie, as long as your kids don't mind 3-D (Dd gets a little spooked by it). The Great Movie ride is lots of fun, too, but your 2 yo might be a little frightened by the noise. Dd liked the stars and motorcars parade with all the characters and the fanciful car designs. We went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground and I had to wrestle Dd out of it, she had so much fun. There just seemed to be more here oriented specifically at the little kid age group...Dd was bored at AK (and scared- at Tough to Be a Bug).
