Hi everyone,

My dd & I will be at WDW for a short time at the beginning of December, and I was wondering if doing MGM studios and then the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that night would be feasible?

We've never been there during the holidays, so I'm not sure if I'm trying to pack in too much in one day.

Thanks! :flower:

I am doing my first solo trip Dec 7-9. Our family has been 7 times during the summer. My schedule :

7th MK around noon
MGM 5:30 for Osbourne Lights
EPCOT for Illuminations

8th EPCOT for opening
MK for MVMCP

9th Whatever I didn't get done. Flight leaves at 7pm

We are going to be at WDW 2 nights before our cruise in December and I was thinking of trying the same thing except with Animal Kingdom.... :thumbsup2

I figure we have the cruise to relax....

I just think we should take advantage of low crowds and go go go...So we may go to AK at opening on Dec 14th and then leave by 2pm and go back to OKW and get ready for the MVMCP...Get there by 5:00 pm....

DD is 8 now and so she should be able to handle that.....

I can not wait!!!!! :woohoo:

So I say go for it!!

Thanks, guys.

We fly in from LA & get there around 6:30 am to Orlando on the 7th, and I'm thinking of doing MGM Thursday the 7th, and MVMCP that evening, and then all day at Epcot on Friday. We have Sat & Sun to do stuff outside of the parks. Our plane leaves Sunday afternoon.

I'm trying to figure out how to get as much done as we can in the time allotted. :sunny:

Hmmm, and now that AK has been brought up - do you think time would be better spent at AK or MGM Studios?

Thank you!

My mom and I will be going to MVMCP on Dec.7 and are plan for that day is to go to Downtown Disney and go shopping, then go back to Pop Century and rest a little bit and maybe even go swimming in the Pop Century pool. Then head over to the Magic Kingdom at 4:00p.m. and get our wrist bands. And I think we will just grab something to eat inside of the park right away. That way we will be already by 7pm when the party starts up! We can't wait!!!!!

Normally when we did MVMCP in the past, we were visiting WDW for a week (7 nights) so we made that day our No-park day and would hang out at DTD for a few hours and then relax by the pool..... BUT this time we'll be there for MNSSHP and we're only staying 5 nights :( and have only 4.5 days (arriving afternoon on day one and departing sooooooooooo early in the AM on the last day). We will be doing AK the day of MNSSHP because we are so short on time... hope my girls are too wiped!

Hey Mary Jo,

We chose AK cause I believe if we get there at opening we can get a lot done since the crowd levels will be down. I know it will be much less crowded than Memorial day....We managed to do a lot then. :thumbsup2

We want to do EE,Dinasour and the safari and I will be happy.....Maybe bugs life.....We have days left on our magic your way passes...So we might as well use one..

DD is 8 now and so she should be able to handle this schedule...The party we plan to stay till midnight...We can rest the next day when we board the ship!! :goodvibes

We took the day off (DTD shopping & pool) when we went to MVMCP & I was glad we did, it was a late night with lots of walking back & forth thru the lands to try & see/ride everything.

Currently, they are permitting guest for the MNSSHP & MVMCP to enter turnstiles around 4:00 p.m. w/o using a day on park tix...something to consider.

I'd vote for AK though, lots of walking but, if you're only interested in the headliners you can finish up by lunchtime if you plan well.

have a great trip.
