I voted for p.m.
I've never been to MGM first thing. Particularly with Fantasmic, RNR and TOT, part of the "experience" of MGM is doing it at night. Not that RNR and TOT can't be just as enjoyable during the day, but they just have a "nighttime feel" to me.
But I'm sure whatever you decide will work out just fine!
