Can we cover the following in MGM in one afternoon?

Beauty and the Beast
Little Meramaid
Playhouse Disney
Muppetvision 3D
Great Movie Ride

We are hoping to catch some of the parade and then see those shows/rides between 3-7pm

Is this possible?

TIA

It's ambitous. You may have to miss one of the shows.
I find that at MGM, it can take a long time do do things if you want to see shows. The scheduling of the shows is such that you often have to wait quite a while for the next one.

You can find showtimes at:
http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/st/st.htm

This is absolutely vital if you want to have a chance.

Good luck!

I think it depends on when you go but it is going to be tight. All of those ar lenghty attractions...

Beauty and the Beast - 30 minutes
Little Mermaid - 17 minutes
Playhouse Disney - 20 minutes
Muppetvision 3D - 25 minutes
Great Movie Ride - 22 minutes

Figure that's about 2 hours of show time. Factor in catching some of the parade, wait times, show sceduling and walking times and you could eat up those four hours easily.

I think your best bet would be to grab a fastpass to Little Mermaid asap and hope you're not sitting in another show during your window. You can always grab another if you miss it. Aim for Muppetvision 3D during a showing of Indiana Jones (not after) and the wait should be short. If you arrive at the park during Indiana Jones, go right to Muppetvision and pick up your Little Mermaid fastpass afterwards. Muppetvision is on one side of the park, all your other attractions are on the other. That will save some walking time. Good luck!

Paula, I just posted a response to your AK questions. I don't know about timing,e tc....coul dbe tough, but I thought I'd give you feed back as to what your 2 1/2 year old might enjoy best on your list...

Playhouse Disney and Little Mermaid are must sees for toddlers/preschoolers!

Beauty and the Beast is great, if you like the music and the story (a lot like the BRoadway show - might not be great for the little one, unless he (I think you said little boy) is really interested.

Muppetvision is a good one for everyone. If he doesn't like the effects he can take the glasses off.

The Great Movie Ride is more entertaining for the parents -- not bad for kids but they dont know who all of the actors are and what the films are, etc....

The parade isn't anything really amazing, but it is FILLED with characters and cool cars. If your sweetie likes the characters, he will enjoy this. Then I would chose to see the whole parade.

So basically, if I were going with a 2 1/2 year old for the first time, I woudl be sure to see the parade, Play House Disney and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Oh, and the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground is cute and fun, too.

Hope that helps. Have fun!!

I think it may also depend upon the day of the week you're going. Some things show later on Sunday and Monday than they do the rest of the week. For example:
Playhouse Disney's last show is at 5:30 on Sun/Mon, but 5:00 on other days
Little Mermaid runs until 6:20 on Sun/Mon, but only 5:35 any other day

Plus Beauty and the Beast's last show is 5:15 every day. The parade is at 3:30, so that only leaves Muppets and Great Movie Ride for the "later" attractions, unless you go on Sun/Mon then you can include Mermaid in that category as well.

I think it will be tough. The best thing would be to check the schedules posted above on Steve's site and make a plan for your day based on those. That's the only way you'll know if it's possible or not.

Oh, and hope for low crowds and short lines! lol :teeth:

I think it's do-able. You know what they say, if there's a will, there's a way.

The only caveat is you have to do the shows off the bat due to the limited show times. Often the last show is around 5 even if the park closes at 7.

It'll be tough, but you can do it all if you are going prior to Spring Break time. Are you going soon?? We rode everything, saw a few shows, and had lunch in the 50's Diner in about 5 hours, but that was this month when the crowds are very light. It was our first stop while we were waiting to check into our hotel room.

I know what you mean, I'm heading out in 2 weeks and I'm allready praying for no snow.

The storm isnt supposed to be huge and there will be periods of no precipitation. Besides, JFK/LGA do a much better job handling bad weather than Bradley. You'll be down there in no time :D
