MGM for half day or skip altogether

We'll be in WDW the last week and a half of August and plan to do 2 days at MGM. We'll do the muppets, tot, beauty and the beast, play house disney and fantastic. Those are musts and many times. Can't wait!

MGM is my DH and Teen son's favorite so we have spent a full day on the last 2 trips and this trip will be spending our first travel day. Great thing about MGM is all the shows! Especially for people like me who aren't into the wild rides. You'll probably enjoy The Great Movie Ride (tame and fun), Backlot tour, Indiana Jones show, Beauty and the Beast show, Animation tour, New Stunt show, Little Mermaid... A definite highlight for all of us each time is Fantasmic. It is one of the best shows ever! Well worth staying late to see. Enjoy!

You have to love how opinions can vary so much. I'm headed to the World at the end of August for an 8-day trip. I'll spend at least two days at MGM. I love it.

I love MGM also & always take at least 2 days there, but if my choice was 1/2 day or not at all I'd definitely go with the 1/2 day.

You'll still get to see & do lots of stuff. Don't skip MGM altogether.

you definitely can't do the whole park in a 1/2 day so pick your must sees
we did a 1/2 day last week. Our touring plan got fast passes for rockin roller coaster, dd & I rode TOT, DD & DH rode TOT on babyswap. DD & I rode RNR. DH opted out on RNR. We hit playhouse disney for 2 yr old. Hit a couple shops there bought JO JO. Did animation tour and met Incredibles. Hit GMR and then headed over to backlot express for lunch. By the time we fought crowds at backlot- heat was turning up and everyone was starting to stress. We left at 2PM. I wanted to see One Man's dream and see stunt show but it was not meant to be.
