MGM - Fantasmic in Dec.??

Help! I'm trying to plan for my ps in Dec. If MGM closes at 7:00, does this mean that Fantasmic is over by then?

No, the park usually closes before Fantasmic shows to get people out of the park(or the remaining folks into Fantasmic). If the park closes at 7, most likely Fantasmic will be shown at 7:30.

i was there in 2001 and 2002 in early december and i do not remember the park closing before fantasmic, infact both times we went to see the osbourne lights after we sat through fantasmic and osbourne lights was rather crowded. hope this helps.

Last year Dec 8 to 14 they had Fantasmic at 6:00pm and closed at 7:00pm. It gets dark before 5:30 in December. On Saturday Dec 14 they had a 6:00 & 7:30 Fantasmic with a 7:30 close. This may change with no Osborne Lights this year, Fantasmic may be later. I think they figured people could come out of Fantasmic and still see Osborne Lights.

I will be at WDW dirst week of December and was wondering how long before the show we should waut? I'm not planning on the dinner package (unless the Sci-FI gets added in- my DS8 has already chosen it as our sit-down in MGM!!) so we will have to wait out our spot. For those of you there in the beginning of December- what did you do? I'd love any info you remember!!
