MGM (Disney Studios) Opening - Autographs

I vaguely recall reading that when MGM/Disney Studios first opened that CMs would greet the first group of guests by asking the guests for their autographs.

Did this ever happen? Does it still happen?

This doesn't happen any more on an organized basis. You will occasionally run across a "star struck" Streetmosphere performer who will ask for your autograph, but it's not a regular thing.
