MGM Closing Early in Dec?

I have heard that MGM will close early one night for a private Pop Warner event. I plan to go on Saturday, Dec 10. Does anyone know if this is the day that the event is planned for? Thanks!

I read somewhere that it's Thurs. the 8th...don't know for sure though. Anyone else know?

I answered my own question. I called Disney Dining for the Fantasmic dinner package and had several times to choose from. I would imagine that if they were closing early, she would not let me book the dinner. She also said that I could check back next week for the exact time of Fantasmic because hours should be out.

According to the historical hours from last year, MGM did not close early for this event, it was held after regular closing time. I think it was a Friday night. I was there one time a few years ago on the day of their after hours party, it did get very crowded in the late afternoon, I guess they were admitted early.

Well I was there last year and they most certainly did close MGM early for a POP party. It was a Friday night -- I think December 9th and they starting moving people out at 6pm, closed off enterance area to TOT and RNR and then the park closed at 7pm. I was pretty irritated because we were planning on seeing Fantasmic.

We, too, were at WDW during Pop Warner week last year, and they did close MGM that Friday night around 6, when normal hours are til 8. I think this year that Friday will be the 9th - I'd count on MGM closing early that night.

I heard that it was on Thurs. the 8th. All of the TS restaraunts aren't accepting late ADR's. I was able to make a Fantasmic Dinner Package ressie for Fri. the 9th, so I'm hoping they're open until 8pm.

We will also be at MGM on Friday the 9th and have the dinner package. I'm sure they wouldn't have sold it to us if the park was closing early.

Anyone out there have a package for Thursday the 8th ?

I never thought of it being on a Thurs. This could change things for me because I want to see Osborne lights on Fri, but I just assumed I couldn't because of the POP thing. We are doing the CP on Friday as well.
