MGM Character Meal Update Thread

Nothing yet, but I'm still hopeful for June.

Nothing today for ADRs.
She did mention that there probably would be a soft opening so those going earlier than June I would check it out at H&V. However, she didn't confirm this was going to happen. She was talking about when and if it does that's what they have done before with new places or remodels.

This is not unusual. When the Princess meal was started in Norway, there were cast members just as you entered Epcot telling people about it and urging them to attend. I would expect the same at MGM when this meal gets off the ground.

I think at this point best I can hope for is a soft opening. I'll be there June 2-8 but getting discouraged on this. Sounds like it may end up being later in June when it opens.

Those are our dates too. I just don't understand the whole 'soft opening' thing. Is it where you just show up? Or can you make advanced reservations at the resort once you are there?

I guess we will just have to go with the flow and hope they have it going, but not make plans for it.

A soft opening would just be that the restaurant happens to be open on a particular day. It's unannounced, except maybe some CMs outside telling people about it. They won't take ADRs for it, except maybe same day.
Since we'll be spending a lot of time at MGM for Star Wars Weekend, I'll keep checking by H&V to see if there is anything going on.

I tried to ask the CM when I called for ADR's this morning. She wouldn't give anything up, saying "it seems the public hears before we do." She said to keep callign back to check.
