MGM Character Meal Update Thread

I just spoke with a CM who said she knows there is rumored to be a character breakfast at MGM but she has no information on it an doesn't know if or when there may be one.

I'm almost beginning to think that the denials are "scripted" sounding. I have heard almost the identical words as others who have called: "I've had several calls about this today but that is the first I've heard of it." and "I've heard of it and I'm sure it's coming but I can't confirm anything else." Maybe they know a lot more than they're telling?

You know what I was thinking, does any one else think it's a little strange that we have more details about the Asian Restaurant and Dino Restaurant opening in 2007 & 2008, so far in the future, and absolutely no confirmation of anything for this alleged meal supposedly opening in the Spring?

I would like to hope that is the case - but I also think that scripted sounding replies sometimes indicate just that - scripted replies that they are given to answer.
In the travel reservation call center I worked in (I was in marketing) we actually wrote scripts for the agents to questions that were coming up a lot or situations that we had a lot of calls about (emergencies, crises, rumors) Anyway it could be that they have gotten a lot of calls and therefore they have been given a "reply" to give out to callers.

I guess it is really not that strange at all.
First those are a long ways off, nobody (I would hope ) will be calling for ADR's any time soon. If they gave details out to the general public reguarding the "heros" meal before taking ADR's everyone would be calling. I would assume they will be doing a "soft" opening first.
Another reason I think is the two new places are not even built yet (correct me if I am wrong). The "heros" meal is just being added at the existing H&V.


As much as it is driving me crazy it is probably to our benifit because we will be the first to know.

I just hope that they start taking adr's soon. Better late than never is good, but I would really like to make this happen for my son's on our June trip.

I dont think so. These are resturants that will have to be built. If they started breaking ground on them without a press release I shudder to think of the rumors that would spread.
