Would I be likely to get much done at MGM showing up around 1pm on a wednesday in september?

This is our arrival day and I'm trying to figure out a way to get some MGM time out of our way. We'd likely arrive at 1pm and we'd like to hit tower of terror or rock and roller coaster, the great movie ride, and be out of the park by 4pm. Is this totally crazy or at the very least completely unlikely?

It should be pretty quiet in September (but with the addition of the "eat for free" program, who knows now). I would think you should have no problem seeing those three attractions...however, you'll probably have to wait in long lines for 2 of the 3. Both ToT and RnRC will probably not have Fastpass returns until later on in the evening by the time you arrive. However, the lines for those two really shouldn't exceed 60 minutes. So, you should be able to get all three done in 3 hours.

It's not totally crazy, but I don't know if you'll make it out of MGM by 4pm.
When you are doing the planning, 3 hours SOUNDS like a good amount of time to ride three rides, but you know, you stop to take pictures and perhaps run in a shop or two and then you need something to drink and then you stop to watch a street performer and from there you see a cool ride or show you forgot about and want to do, ect, ect... and the next thing you know, POOF! :wizard: it's 8 o'clock! :rotfl: -- IF though, you manage to go and just do those 3 things you mentioned and head straight for the exit, 4pm sounds about right!

OT Side note to RYMickey --- RETURN TO ME is one of my FAVORITE movies! I've watched it at least a dozen times! Love the DVD commentary Bonnie Hunt does too! It kills me how many of her relatives are in the movie!!!

Why do you want to be out of MGM by 4pm?
Book a fantasmic dinner package, stay for the show.
You're on vacation after all.

we dont plan on being in mgm until around 4 on our arrival day. we do plan on seeing rnr, tot, gmr, and whatever else we can see.

You'll be able to see and do almost everything you want. I find that about 1/2 day in the morning and 1/2 day on another evening is the perfect combo.

Assuming you dont go during Labor Day Weekend, you should be good to go.
