My husband and I aren't big fans of MGM (except Tower of Terror and the coaster), so we don't usually spend much time there. We are taking our 6 yo DD and 2 yo DD. Do you find that you spend a lot of time there with young children? We plan to take them to see the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Muppets (I love the muppets, too!), and Playhouse Disney shows. Is there any reason why we would spend more than 1 day? We are going in January.

Thanks.

we only normally spend a day a MGM, becuase we do universal as well as disney, so dont get to do #MGM more than once

One day is plenty with kids that are your children's ages. Do make sure they see Fantasmic - took my DD when she was four and loved it. There are lots of those spinning light toys available but they are expensive, so I bought her one at the Disney Store before our trip so she wouldn't have to ask for one (hid it in my backpack until we got to Fantasmic so she thought I just bought it!). If your kids are tired, just take them back to room for late day rest and then go back for the early Fantasmic show (if they have two). Just make sure you go to MGM on a night they are showing Fantasmic if you don't have Park Hopper passes. Pizza Planet is a fun place for kids too at lunchtime - lots of games and fun atmosphere for them. The Little Mermaid show is cute for little girls (and big ones) as well. Enjoy!

Oy - yes! i say oy because although we think MGM is a quality park and we do enjoy ToT and RnR as well as the street performers - the rest of the attractions in that park keep us there for a short to half day. HOWEVER - with the little one (we took her last year at 15 months and will be going back this year at 25 months) we end up making MGM another long park day.

the HISTK playground along with the play and dig area at dino land, she could be in both of those places for an hour each and not get bored. then there is the playhouse disney show, the muppets, the mermaid show.....she is in for the long haul.

Don't forget to visit Mickey at the least crowded Mickey greeting area!
