If You Had To Pick A Table Service Restaurant In Mgm, Which One Would It Be? Help,i'm Trying To Decide! It Will Be 4a And 3c. Thanks!!!

We've eaten in all the MGM sit down restaurants. Holeywood and Vine is great if you like buffets. SCi-Fi and Prime Time are nicely themed. We love the food at both - Sci-Fi has more diner type food and Prime Time is more "homecooked" and Mama's has great italian. IMO - You cannot go wrong with any of them.

We love Brown Derby as well but I "think" that's 2 TS credits - not sure.

Prime time! But I may be switching, I'm trying Mama Melrose this next trip. Maybe that will be my new favorite!

Sci-Fi is great but you cant really see what you are eating. My then 4 year old got a bit bored, she kept saying "when's Toy Story comin on". but the prices are great and their onion rings are to die for!!
was a bit freaked out in Prime time as I ordered nachos and they were grey in colour like roof tiles, and of course if you dont eat up all you dinner you get yelled at!! so it was quick exit time. Mama Melrose was lovely though, really warm and homely

Depends on the ages of your kids.

It's really what goes easiest on them.

I'm not much of a buffet eater, but many people hail Hollywood & Vine because it gets the food in your body and you out the door fast. Good for fussy kids.

Sci Fi is really entertaining, and especially well themed, but service in peak hours (12-2) have pretty slow service, so it may backfire. Of MGM eateries however, this is my can't miss. Many people hate the food, truly despise it, but I like it. Then again, all I ever get are onion rings and a burger. I think if you stick with the "traditional" you'll be fine.

Mama's is tasty, and fairly quiet - In my opinion, I prefer this as an adult. The kid cousins last year weren't really all about it.

50's is well themed, but I've actually never been, so I can't give an opinion. It seems to always be refurbing when I go (as it is again, this week, as I'm leaving on Thursday...*sigh*)

LOVED 50's Prime Time! The atmosphere and the food! Fun, fun, fun...

For the theme, I'd pick sci-fi dine in. I have never been to a restaurant like this! For the food, I'd go with Mama Melrose. The food is pretty good. Better than Hollywood and Vine IMO.


I have never been to Brown Derby, I cannot comment on this one.

We also LOVE Prime Time and are bummed that it will be closed for our visit. It is our only must-do for every trip!

Our vote would go to Prime Time. We love Sci-Fi, and always eat there too, but pay OOP. Wouldn't want to burn a TS credit for a $50 meal. Prime Time's food appeals to us, we love the atmosphere, and if you get a good server it's hilarious fun.
