MFSR intensity?

My husband doesn’t do a lot of rides - he hates heights and Soarin in particular made him feel very sick. I watched some YouTube videos of the Millenium Falcon ride and it looks relatively tame. From the videos it looks pretty similar to Star Tours, which he rides with no problem. Anyone who has ridden it have any insight on how it compares? Thanks!

My husband cannot ride Soarin' or Star Tours, but I felt he could ride MFSR when we go back. I rode it three times yesterday and did not feel motion sick once. It is much cooler than Star Tours and your mind is occupied doing your "job".

It is a much smoother ride than Star Tours, definitely not as "jerky". I never felt like I was getting tossed around. The display is much better than Star Tours as well, so it felt much more real.

MFSR is very tame. I don't see anyone having any issues with it being scary. Zero drops feeling, no tilting forward or backwards in any crazy ways and you're so busy having fun hitting buttons/driving that you don't realize its an actually ride after a few seconds.

Thanks all! Sounds like he’ll be fine. Now I just have to add him to our Oga’s reservation :)

NOTHING scary about it. It's lots of fun.

I think it really depends on the pilots. If they move it up and down and side to side and they crash a lot then it can be jerky.

But since everyone has a task, you may not feel it as much. Plus you do not need the 3d glasses like star tours or fop which, in my case, cause me more motion sickness etc.

I've wondered about feeling claustrophobic? Looks like a small closed in space (obviously).

My ride was very jerky, and those surfaces are hard when you slam into them. I was trying to do my “job” (engineer) and protect my camera, and didn’t have a hand left to hold on or brace with. Since there are no arms on the seats it seemed to fling me about a lot more than Star Tours. I do think the quality of the pilots plays a role (we kept crashing), and it wasn’t so bad that it’s put me off riding. But it was definitely a bumpy ride.

From a motion sickness standpoint I would rate it around the same as Mission Space Green and less than Star Tours. As others have said, depending on your individual experience it could be more or less jerky. But you definitely feel it a bit after riding. I should also point out that there are a million things going on at once. If you have sensory issues it definitely has the potential to put you on overload.

I normally get motion sickness and didn't have any issues on multiple rides. I was told to be a pilot so that I could help control how smooth the ride was ... DH and I were the right and left pilots. I heard some talking when young kids were flying it was a jerky ride. It didn't feel too cramped to me.
