My computer is being stubborn now, and I can't get our picture to show up!! :| I'll try again later, I guess... In the meantime, you can find some pictures of us in our February TR. There's a link in our sig. :goodvibes Nice to meet you all!
Welcome aboard! Hey, I remember your trip report! I've read it.... Not sure if it was before or after our April MR cruise but I recognize your pictures. (especially the great food ones)

We've got a few young boys on this meet up, Yay!! My son turned 3 in July. I hope he'll like the kids club long enough for us to go to Palo's! :-)

From the pics we have seen on the internet.. I dont think we are gonna get out kids OUT of the kids club.. .LOL :laughing:

We'd like to do the Scavenger Hunt! (I believe we've already set that up...)

:lmao: Probably! My spreadsheet doesn't have DIS names just real names. So I forget which real names belong to which DIS names. Great, then you're all set up. :thumbsup2

I too read your TR months ago!! It was very helpful! Hey! I saw you're from S.B., we're from Ventura!!

I have the same question! Sword or no sword?

First off how wonderful your husband is coming home soon! I'm assuming he is in the service. Which branch? I can imagine how special this cruise will be for your family!
As for formal night we will be getting fancy. No tux for DH but a suit. Fancy dress for DD and not sure yet for DS. I better get on that! :rolleyes1

I know!! 19 more days until he gets home!! He actually isn't in the service - his company is doing some work for Camp Bastion/Leatherneck (US Marines) building some roads and infrastructure that the base needs - he is doing some project management work. He's been there for almost 6 months now, hanging out with a lot of Brits (his camp is on the British side) and growing a really bushy beard. ;)

We confirmed our reservation for the 10/23 Mexican Riviera Cruise last week and are in GTY status; we're having a very hard time waiting for October 23 to get here :-)

I found this on the DCL site regarding Halloween Costumes:

Halloween:

Kids will enjoy the trick or treat hunt searching multiple decks and visiting different treat stations to collect candy.
Haunted Parties for kids and teens - The Disney characters will be wearing their costumes, so make sure you dress up too!
Adult can join in on the fun with a late night costume contest and party.
Spooky Movies will be shown in the Buena Vista Theatre, the Ariel Vision screen and in staterooms.
The Disney Cruise Line chefs are working their magic in the kitchen on some special Halloween treats.
NOTE: NO WEAPONS ALLOWED. If you plan on being a pirate, leave your plastic cutlass at home as no weapon, real or fake, is permitted.

:rotfl: Well, that is one less thing I have to pack...I was worried about the kid's plastic swords breaking anyway.

The kids clubs are awesome! We spent a lot of time in there. :thumbsup2 Carson was 2 1/2 in April so he didn't want mom and dad to leave. I think I had as much fun as he did. :lmao: I am surprised pre-kid we never took a look at the kids club on our other cruises. They are really cool. Now he's 3 and been to preschool for a month now (I'm a SAHM) I think he'll be ok there by himself for short period of time. (fingers crossed)

So much to do and so little time... YIKES :) So excited ! I think I am more excited than the kids ... and hubby agrees !:rotfl::banana:
It's such a great way to have a family vacation, and mommy vacation! We're doing 3 in 25 months. Yay for sunshine, swimming, relaxing, eating great food that someone else cooks and cleans up. Yay for your room steward who cleans it twice a day..... Yay for fantastic margaritas and salsa in the Mexican ports.... Yay for pirate night party and fireworks..... Ok stop me now for I can keep going!!!

:rotfl: I keep meaning to change that... DD was playing around with our location, and put SB because that's the location of our favorite TV show (Psych) :) In the past couple months we've moved from Atlantica to P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way to Cali... :lmao: We're actually midwesterners. :p
