Mexico Lindo 10/23/2011 MR Cruise!!!

Thanks everyone for letting us join the FE....it just goes to show there are nice people out in the world!! And today is my birthday..so you have made my day! So, we meet at Wavebands at 3:30, right? Two weeks from today we fly into LAX...never been there either. I'm rolling over with excitement..

My son Ethan is 8. He us so excited. Does anyone have advise on letting him have in and out by himself at the kids club? He seems to young for me but thought I would ask.

This is our fourth cruise with kids..they are 10 and 14. It really depends on the child. I say go with your gut. Wait until you check out the facility and get a feeling for the staff. But if your child is really independent then he should be fine. But, if you don't feel right don't do it. Even with my 10 year old girl...I'll wait until we get a vibe either way. Hope that helps!

Hi friends - I have had two very desperate requests to be included in the FE. I know most everyone wanted it closed on the 1st to prepare. Christy has been kind to give these folks my info and I am fine with it, but I need a majority of you to reply. Thanks, and I will definately cut off any additions by tomorrow!

BryBry3 Our daughter is 7 as well. Katie is excited to meet all the children. This is also my first time doing the FE exchange. We all will have lots of fun cruising!!!!

My DD Lily is 7 too!! How fun that there will be so many kids in the same age group!

Good morning everyone. We just found out about the Meets forum, so we thought we'd better post ASAP.

My wife and I were on the wonder for our Honeymoon 10 years from the end of October when it was in the Bahamas, so we thought it would be great to bring the kids with us for our 10th wedding anniversary!

We're only signing up for one excursion as a family (the pirate adventure in Puerto Vallarta), but my wife and I are signed up for a couple of spa sessions and Tea at Palo's. We seriously can NOT wait. Every night the kids check off the calendar and then freak out for a half hour talking about how great the cruise will be.

There will be myself, my DW Mary, and our DS and DD (Haiden (9) and Chloe (5)). We're currently booked in 7001.

Are you okay with it? That is what is important...but if it helps, at this age, I like the idea of knowing where the kids are at all times, so I'd prefer they stay in the kids clubs if they are not with me or another family member until they are at least teenagers...although maybe they can get into more mischief when older?

I'm ok with the additions, as long as we get an updated final list. I'm a little confused as to who the new additions are. Is it two families? Anyway once it has all been finalized, if you could just post a new list that would be great. Thanks for taking on this task for all of us. We really do appreciate it.

Its your first cruise right? I probably would be cautious - we have cruised with our kids twice and I am not even letting my older one check out initially. Really depends on how mature your son is. We have 7, 9 and 12 yo boys - so Ethan will be in good company!

Hubby has now decided we ARE going to dress up on formal night - sigh - so off I go tomorrow to Burlington to pick up some nice outfits for the boys. Also so excited - we booked a room at one of the Disneyland resorts the night before. I can't believe it is so close. I still have so much to do. Anyone have great magnet templates they want to share??

Thank you for all the great advise. I Think I will wait until we meet the staff before I make the final decision about Ethan having in and out freedom.

This will be Ethans first cruise. I myself have been on several cruises including Disney Magic in 1999.

since baggage fees on the airline has gone up I am packing light... but I want to know if anyone has any ideas on what they are doing for dressing up for the Halloween party/costume contest. I wanted to do a crazy balloon hat or something, but no balloons allowed on board :-( Should be fun. can always be a pirate for 2 nights LOL

Yayyyy! We are getting closer to our cruise date! I cannot wait to have a wonderful week of relaxation, fun and food! This is a much needed vacation for DH and I!
