Almost there! Finished FEs. Now have to start packing I have not heard anything about PV being closed to ships. It will be interesting to find out what your friends heard. Well, lets more to do in the next 2 weeks

My DH and I are also middle school teachers and are so excited for what lies ahead on this cruise! I am a HUGE Disney fanatic (had to work in a day at Disneyland pre-cruise of course!) and sailing this route last year on the HAL was just not the same. This time we're doing Disney and my DH has never been before. We don't care if we're going to see a lot of kids since it's spring break-- we're just excited that we get to be a part of the madness and around tons of other Disney-loving families!

Can't wait!!!! 11 more days!!

Our travel companions are currently in Cabo and are hearing that Puerto Vallarta has shut down the port to US ships - has anyone else heard anything about this? I've looked all over the Disney site and can't find a "latest news" section or anything.

I think they might be referring to the robbery on the outskirts of town where a lot of Carnival passengers were affected. They were hiking in the jungle in a town outside of PV and were robbed at gunpoint. I haven't heard anything on the port being closed to US ships, however, and I'm sure we would have heard about it all over the news by now...

Small world is right! (and I love that ride too!!) what part of Oregon are you from?? We're in Cottage Grove. Our DS went to LMS and DD is soon to follow. I have my Ducks shirt and I'm ready to roll! We're driving down on the 22nd or 23rd I just found out were bringing a bigger car....this means I can pack more stuff!!! I'll be sure to bring a few extra goodies for your FE. Whats your room number?? We're 5016!

We are from Tigard and will be driving down the 22nd as well... we had to get in a day at DL. (Or I should say, *I* had to... my DH kindly obliged to my Disney needs...)

Our room number is 7074 and we are Tim and Megan! No kids for us (yet)-- we are still newlyweds and in our late twenties...

Thanks for updating our cabin number, Tweet, (and for the PM). I would vote for capping the list at 20 and starting a second list for latecomers.

By the way, I've been trying to get a reservation for high tea in Palo (any day) but because it's just me I can't get a reservation. When I called they said they only have reservations for larger tables left, like for 5 or 6 people. If there is anyone who is interested in sharing a table for high tea, so we can get that reservation (and make some new friends) I'd love to do that. Let me know.

This might be SUPER late and you may have gotten the spot filled, but I know my husband and I would love to share high tea with you sometime! I also wanted to get in on it but it was full for two people. We'd be more than happy to share with a larger table! Send me a PM if this is something you are interested in doing still!

Don't know how I missed this quoted post! I have a ressie for myself for High Tea, (I booked all my Palo ressies when I didn't think my DH was gonna make the trip...so I know I can get him into dinner and brunch with me, but he probably won't want to do the High Tea). SO...tentatively, I would say I am up for joining a larger table...or having 2-3 more folks join me. More the merrier!!

Paige! Did you book a larger table reservation for yourself? Do you have spots open and if so, which day did you book for? We would love to join you (DH and I). High tea was the only thing I couldn't get a reservation for a few months ago when I booked. We're going to be at some local hotels in PV and Cabo on the port days soaking up some quiet pool time but if it's during at-sea days I am all for it!

I never was able to get a reservation for our group but it's been a while since I checked. I'd still LOVE to do it though! PaigerPoo, if you really don't mind, it would be great to join you! The info I read about the cruise robbery said the robbers intercepted the bus as they were coming back. I'm not typically a nervous nelly when it come to stuff like this, but can you imagine our kids experiencing that?!?! We are supposed to be doing the Pirate Ship tour. I am sure it will be fine, but I am a little apprehensive. Anyone else feel this way?
