Mexican Riviera on the Wonder 3/25/2012

Hi Lesa! Yes! It's me! Although I sold my store last July it had been a great run for 5 years, met a lot of really super kewl ladies and seriously stocked my scrap closet! I just decided I was ready to make my hobby "mine" again and not have to be so darn responsible for a while. I still have my circuit, (but am in love with my Silhouette), and teach classes. I do make Disney layout kits so if your interested, let me know & I'll email you pics.

Since I brought it up last time, I guess I should come out and ask.

"Are Disney cruises fun if you don't have a child in tow"

like I said my wife is a disney nut and has turned me into one over the years, so characters and disney "cast members" being everywhere is a good thing in our eyes. Hordes of screaming kids don't bug me, (I a big four year old at heart , I already had to promise my wife I wouldn't try to sneak on to the slide in the kiddie pool. drat) but everything I've read say the night life for adults is kind of dead.


So can someone tell me what to expect as an adult on a disney cruise.

Has anyone decided on excursions yet? We are doing the zip lining in Puerta Vallarta and in Cabo we are doing the Chilean Bay Snorkel the first day and the dolphin swim the next day.
Does anyone know the difference between the Chilean Bay and the Santa Maria snorkel? I wasn't sure which to pick.

My son will be 10 on the cruise. I would love for him to be able to meet some other kids close to his age on the cruise. I know for some this will be a surprise so they won't get to talk ahead of time, but I thought maybe the kids could do a meet. My son loves all things sports and on our last cruise spent a lot of time on the basketball court so i'm sure he'll be there again. Any other boys in that age group into basketball? Maybe we could set up a time to meet there on the first or second day?

Yes! I'm PAID as of today! & It does look like the DH will be joining us on is trip now too!
Zip lining in PV for all 4 of us is a must!
I'm also wondering about FISH EXTENDERS???? Just dug mine out of my "cruise box"!!!

We are the Nathans and are so glad to be joining you. It will be me and my husband and DS 6 /12 and DS 10. We would love to be included in the FE - that has been the highlight of the trip for our sons on our last 2 cruises.

My DS17 is curious about any other TEENS on board? He had an awesome time in 09 on the Magic. Still keeps in touch with quite a few of the kids too!

We are from MN and going on this cruise! Another family is also joining us. In all we will have 3 adults and 3 kids ages 10 boy, 9 boy, and 7 (I think) girl. We are so excited!

This is the first Disney Cruise for all of us, so would love to meet up with you guys sometime.

Also, is it best to do swimmimg with the dolphins through Disney or find our own?

Tbellz - Yes, they can do the Canopy Adventure in Puerta Vallarta - they only have to be 8 for that one. We are scheduled on this one w/ my 10 year old.

We are booked on the March 25 sailing. This is our 4th Disney Cruise, 2nd time on the Wonder. It will be me, my DH, my DD 17, and my two grandsons who are 6 and 9.
We are thinking about doing the Los Veranos Canopy ziplining in PV and a whale watching/snorkel trip in Cabo. Is anyone else going on the Los Veranos excursion?
We would be interested in being a part of the FE's, is someone organizing this?

We will be joining you for spring break, too! We finally told the girls (13 & 10) on Christmas morning, so now I can start really making plans - it was way too hard to make plans AND keep the secret.

This will be the first cruise any of us has ever been on. I am thrilled ... and overwhelmed. But I want to do it 'right' - So, fish extender? sure, tell me where to sign up! Other girls who've already been surprised? Let's get them chatting!
