Hello!

This will be our 4th Disney cruise, 2nd on the Wonder, 1st Mexican Riviera.

I have no idea what an FE is....:confused3

We are going, my DH, DS (15) DD(12). My DD's best Friend's family is coming, with their DD (12) and DS(8).

We are from Calgary Alberta, so flying in on January 1st into LAX. still finalizing all that...

My family might be going down to Disneyland for a few days around Halloween since we have unused DVC points that expire in November.

Would love to know more... We don't have an assigned cabin yet.

Thanks all!

Audrey

Audrey,

We would love to get the names and stateroom numbers for your party so we can add them to the FE list. Hope to see you posting soon.

Less than a month! Woohoo!

Morning Everyone!

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited that we're less than a month till we sail! As I froze on the lacrosse fields this weekend at my son's tournament, all I kept thinking about was that there was hopefully some warm weather waiting for us as the Wonder makes her way south and counting the days till enjoying Deck 10 and a DOD without a couple of "hot hands" stuffed in my gloves! I'm sure sail away will be a bit chilly, but I will not care...I'll be on the Wonder and ready to relax!

Wow a full ship? I'm surprised!

From somewhere I have written down: Rot/Formal/Rot/Rot(PV)/Pirate(Cabo)/TillWeMeet. I'm not sure where that came from. I haven't had a chance to call DCL, but if/when I do, I'll post what I find out here.

I was surprised too, which prompted me to look again. Forgetting that not everyone travels with four people, I searched a cabin for just three and then two people; only a navigators verandah comes up so I guess DCL has room for a few more :crowded: squeeze and maybe I'll be able to do that port upgrade after all! What I love about DCL is even with a full (or almost full :rolleyes1) ship, it doesn't "feel" crowded.

What port adventures does everyone have planned?!

SUCH a FUN month this is going to be....and starting off the new year on this fabulous cruise with some fabulous people!!!! Life is GOOD!!!
4 weeks people!!!! although I am not wanting to rush this month at all.....boy is home for the wkend...then DH and i are attending D23's Disney & Dickens on Monday...heading to Disneyland wkend of 12/16 (after DS' finals)...Christmas parties & fun times with family!!!

I have updated the spreadsheet for the FE participants & will send it again to those who have given me their email addresses...

I know what you mean about not wanting to rush...enjoy your son being home and have fun at DL! We were hoping to make it during the holidays this year; I've been missing my snow on Main Street fix for a couple of years and have wanted to see the lights on the castle in person..they look spectacular! My friend did bring me back a Mickey carmel apple last week so at least I had a "taste" of DL :goodvibes That will have to last me till we board the Wonder! Have fun and post some pictures when you get back if you have time!

Called DCL today to request a dining rotation. When I mentioned the days I had for theme nights, she gave me different information  Here's the info. I received today:

Day 1: Cruise Casual
Day 2: Formal
Day 3: Cruise Casual
Day 4: Pirate (P/V)
Day 5: Semi-Formal
Day 6: Cruise Casual

While I like her answer better, who knows what will actually happen since they are always sure to mention that little magic disclaimer "but it's subject to change" :scratchin Oh, well, will just have to wing it - it is vacation after all and we'll be on the Wonder...no stress, no worries :flower3:

The 3 dining rotations were interesting I thought. They are:

1. TAAPTA
2. APPTAP
3. PTTAPT

I like to be in Triton's (or Lumiere's) on formal night, which is the only night that seems to consistantly be on Day 2 no matter what CM you talk to :thumbsup2, so I requested #3. We'll see what happens, but will be happy with whatever we get as long as we're all sitting around the same table :grouphug:

Thanks for the updated info! Tried changing our Palo reservations but no luck. Guess we'll have to miss Pirate Night.

:
These two lists don't make sense. If D1, D3, & D6 are rotational dining, they should all be different dining rooms. That means D4 has to be rotational, not Pirate night. If the dining rotations are right, then it should be Rot/formal/rot/rot/pirate/semi formal. If the themes are right, the rotations should be TAPPTA.
I hope that makes sense.

I was hoping to have Palo on Pirate night- we have it on D5. If D4 turns out to be pirate, maybe we can trade!

I called three different times (knowing sometimes you get different answers depending on who you talk to) and those were the same rotations given each time. The agent did mention that some itinerarys have very specific rotations. I thought it was an odd pattern as well, but that's what they're sayin (at least for the moment).

Try to switch your Palo reservations as soon as you board; maybe it's just been pixie dust, but we've always had luck with that on our past cruises.

Go straight to Palo upon boarding and change your ressie with the dining host (i think it's Mario on the Wonder) - he is always soooo accommodating!!!

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO :woohoo: ONLY 3 weeks people!!!!! :cool1::thumbsup2 YAY!!! oh and our docs came today with some nice little gifts from my TA!!!!!:yay::yay::yay:

I downloaded the new DCL Shipmate app for my iPhone and it counts down the days for me. :woohoo:

Brenda - have you heard from DISer Audiec1993? I sent a message and posted on here to get names and cabin #'s for the FE but haven't been able to get in touch with her. Not sure if we should still be counting her group in for the FE exchange.

After reviewing previous posts, i'm thinking she probably isn't participating in the FE exchange...

Whoever is up for a "Dis" meet & greet onboard, please come to the Promenade Lounge at 3 pm Monday Jan 2nd - this time seems to work out well - before the life jacket drill but gives everyone time to have lunch and explore after boarding....

REALLY hope to MEET you all there!!!!

Not sure if I can get the rest of my group to attend as they will probably be difficult to tear away from the 'wonder' of it all. ;) But I will plan to be there.

I see what you mean about the post from Audiec1993 and will bring some extras that we have just in case we hear from her last minute.
