Mexican Riviera - Jan 2nd 2012

We are super excited to sail the Wonder! This will be our 5th Disney Cruise but first time on the Wonder and the Mexican Riviera.

We are a family of four - me, hubby, son 16 and daughter 13.

Will be arriving on the 29th visiting LA and Disneyland

Just booked Palo but can't decide on excursions. Has anyone done the whale watching excursion?

Booked Palo and the PV "outdoor adventure" last night.
I was hoping to do the horseback riding in Cabo, but that isn't listed for our cruise (maybe not enough time in port?). I guess we'll just do some shopping instead. I'm assuming Cabo is the better shopping choice, as it is more of a resort town.

What do we need to do to get on the FE list again? (I'm hoping we're on it, but I can't remember!)

that's all you have to do - i'll add you to the list (i have a post saved on page 1 for all the FE participants) (just checked - you're already signed up)....

Cabo is the better town to stroll around & shop....i think we're going to book an intro to dive for my niece - my son is certified so he'll go with her...but not sure what else we're going to book

Booked Los Galetos Beach Advnture for us 3 adults and the Intro to Dive for Joeli & Ryan (he is actually already certified but will go with Joeli to help her out)....also booked our Palo dinner & brunches - just hoping that my dinner reserv doesn't interfere with Pirate or formal nights....

LOVE the new booking format that DCL has implemented - they didn't have this in August when i was booking stuff for our sept cruise

I have no idea what an FE is....

We are going, my DH, DS (15) DD(12). My DD's best Friend's family is coming, with their DD (12) and DS(8).

We are from Calgary Alberta, so flying in on January 1st into LAX. still finalizing all that...

My family might be going down to Disneyland for a few days around Halloween since we have unused DVC points that expire in November.

Would love to know more... We don't have an assigned cabin yet.

Hi Audrey....WELCOME WELCOME to our fun group!!!! An FE (or Fish Extender) is a gift exchange between our group with those who want to participate. Gifts can be for the individuals in a state room or a state room gift....some examples from our cruise last month were luggage handles, reusable personalized cups, pins with our cruise logo, puzzles, pens & small tablets just to name a few. Let me know if you have any other questions

Works out for us as we have Palo booked for the 4th night.

Thanks for confirming! We also managed to predict pirate night correctly--and did get Palo for that night.

Awesome - thank you very much for posting this info - i believe we have Palo Day 4 as well for dinner....OHHHHH i am just SOOOO ready to get back on that ship!!!!

Alas, I could not get Palo booked for all 10 adults in my group. I'm not sure how well it works out to see what's available on the day we embark, particularly a reservation for 10, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And checking back frequently on the Disney website.

Once on board, go see Mario (I think that is his name) - Palo host. Tell him you need the back private room - it's a fabulous room and they should have some availability....

I am getting together with my family to set a date for making our FE gifts and wanted to know if anyone has an idea for a sign up deadline.

Thank you for the great idea!!!! With the holidays coming up, i think we are all going to get so busy that a sign up deadline of 11/18 would be great....

Anyone log into the DCL site recently? They changed the way they show your activities each day. I noticed that they moved our Palo Tea from Day 2 to Day 6. Grrr. I sent an email about it but haven't had time to call. Anyone else have trouble with it? Now I see that the site is down for maintenance.

I have been in & out of it all day (with LOTS of problems) uggghhhh is right - but my sister was finishing her checkin & couldn't get the same boarding time as me...they better let us get on at noon since our flights arrive sooo early
