Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

too bad you missed Santa. But I'm glad you got the picture of the turkeys. We made a really fast trip there to get Santa picture but when we went past the turkeys they were not around. We were afraid Mickey had run out for thanksgiving.

See you sunday

I hope you guys have a great trip. Bring warm clothes! We've been having quite the cold snap down here and rain is in the forecast for Monday & Tuesday. Not sure about Mexico though. :confused3

Why go to Anaheim on Saturday? Would you go to the parks? There are some great restaurants in San Pedro...and it's closer to the port.

YAY!!! You got to meet him. I knew you wouldn't disappoint us...LOL I am glad you finally got to meet him though. :) Love the Christmas houses your husband and mom got for you. They are so cute. Hope you are feeling better. So exciting you leave in a few days.

It was so neat to meet him! I loved it! Agh, I know only a few more days left! I'm really, really excited! Every time DH walks through the door from work I yell, "ONLY 5 DAYS LEFT!", "ONLY 4 DAYS LEFT!" He's excited too.

You must be so excited!! Only 4 days to go.I hope you have a great and relazing time.

I am so stinking excited! I hope we have a relaxing time too! We were checking out the Navigators from a cruise 2 weeks ago, and we started writing things down that we wanted to do...oh my, it looks like a fully booked schedule! We'll see how much we stray though once we're on the boat. It doesn't even look like we'll be having much time to sleep! :rotfl:

Looks like a great trip! The stickers on DH's back made me laugh out loud! :rotfl2:

I thought it was hilarious! He was like, "how long have those been on my back?" and I told him probably since we left the Jack meet and he was like, NO WAY!! :lmao:

We just watched Nightmare before Christmas last night!! Jack looks SO cool in person :goodvibes On the DVD they had a bonus feature showing you how they decorate each year and you get to ride through it virtually...I was so excited!! And it looks amazing!!

I love watching the virtual tour on that DVD! Too bad you're not able to smell the wonderful gingerbread house scene. It's amazing! I couldn't believe how tall, skinny, and lanky Jack was in person. I wish we could have recorded him speaking. It was spot on like Jack from NBC.

I know. I was hoping we would get a picture with Santa considering this was a trip of new things. However, we MAY go to the park on Saturday, since our AP's aren't blocked and we wanted to do a little bit of shopping. If we do go, maybe we can make it back there!

Yes! See you at the meet! :goodvibes

How's the Santa Ana winds?! Are they still bad or have they died down a bit? I was reading on another thread that the weather was pretty warm in both Cabo and PV...in the mid 80's I believe. Which is fine with us! I'm thinking we're going to be bringing a lot of clothes.

I think if it works out, we MAY go in to DL on Saturday since we're not blocked, but we also wanted to do a bit of shopping for my mom and Dsil at DTD. We're not sure yet. And from Google Maps, it looks like it would be a 35 minute drive from Anaheim so not too bad. Definitely not as bad as if we were leaving from Tulare. Google Maps said from Tulare to the San Pedro port, it takes 3 hours and 20 minutes! Is that right?! That seems so far...

I think the winds have died down. I really can't tell you because we don't get any wind where I live near the bluff. It's good to hear that it is warmer further south because it is mighty cold here (well for Southern Californians :lmao:) I mean at the Candlelight Processional, I had to wear my warm WDW Zip up thing (not really a jacket, but more than a sweatshirt), a hat and gloves! :rotfl2:

I would think that it was farther than that from Tulare to SP. For us it's about a 15-20 minute drive to San Pedro. I suppose if you took the 91 to the 110, it might be about 35 minutes. I'm reading a TR for a gal who just posted about her travel day from VGC to the port and it was 50 minutes by bus.

I hope you two have a good time! Are you participating in any of the Fish Extender things?

It has been FREEZING the past couple days here in Tulare. It's nice in the afternoons but in the evenings and mornings it's cold!

And that's what we were looking at from Anaheim - 91 to the 110. Is that the only way or what about taking the 91 to the 405 to the 710? Much longer?

Nope, we're not participating. But after all the cool stuff that I've seen people give away, I wish I had! :lmao: But I am doing the DIS meet on the first Sunday and will hopefully meet up with others at some of the tastings.

Hey, what TR are you active on right now? I posted on arline's TR but wasn't sure where you were at :lmao:

3 MORE DAYS!!!! :cool1:

I've started to put a pile together, but not any actual packing. I really don't like to traumatize my dog, he hates seeing the suitcase. I'll put most things together tomorrow night, and throw in the last things in the morning. We have a 7am flight so I don't know how much sleep I'll get.

Love the update! Very cool you got to meet Jack.

Wow! You have an early flight! How long does it take to get to FL? A few hours? Do you fly out of BWI?

I was DRAGGING the day of our flight to Orlando in June. I went to bed at like 12:45 am and had to be up at 2:30ish so we could drive to LAX  It was bad.

Your dog reminds me of my old cat. Every time we brought our suitcases out, she would sit and sleep on top of it. Sometimes we would find her in the suitcases with our stuff.

Hey, what TR are you active on right now? I posted on arline's TR but wasn't sure where you were at :lmao:

That's what it's been like here, but it doesn't get down to freezing, just 40 or 39.

Don't do the 91 to the 405 to the 710 you'd be backtracking a lot and then you would have to take the Vincent Thomas Bridge over to San Pedro. The 91 to the 110 is the most direct route. The 110 will end as you get into San Pedro and there will be clear directions to the Port and Cruise Terminal, at least I think there will be.

I'm active on both TRs, I'm posting pertinent informaiton for whichever TR it pertains to, and I'll post about my CP event on the Cheating TR, but I'll post about our Vegas trip on the Arline one because she is going along too. Boy do I hope that we can go on that trip!

Anyways, are you all packed yet?

It's only 2 and a half hours to FL. It is so nice and easy. I only live about 15 minutes from BWI so that makes it even nicer. We'll be eating lunch at Pecos Bill in MK from my estimation. I am so looking forward to this vacation!

Your cat didn't want you to go, that's so cute! My boy is a Siberian Husky, so he just gets all mopey and clingy when he sees the suite case. It breaks my heart, and almost makes me not to leave. Not quite, but almost.

Loved your Disneyland pics:goodvibes Makes me want to go back! Your cruise is so close..I'm looking forward to reading all about it. It's a busy time of year..shopping, decorating, cooking..I have to get my Dis fix once in a while:rotfl: BTW Your flower pics were especially pretty..we are very grey and dreary here on the East Coast.

You must be out-of-your-mind excited right now!!! Your trip is so close! :goodvibes

I hope you'll be able to go on your trip too!!! :wizard:

I have my dresses on one rack in our closet that need to go in the suitcase and I plan on adding more clothes to that rack today. Won't officially put things in the suitcase until tomorrow evening after I've done some laundry.

The wine, cranberry juice, some Dr. Pepper cans (HATE that they don't have Dr. Pepper :headache:), ginger ale, and rum in a roller bag. Still need to buy the vodka. Have been to Smart and Final AND Target and no one has Vanilla Vodka! I mean, there are tons of Vanilla flavored vodkas out there, and how can I not find them? :confused3 Also have the wine bottle opener and the wine foil cutter packed.

I need to get all my paperwork together in one folder and clean the house. Luckily i'll have time tonight and tomorrow to do all this. And some of Saturday depending on when/if we leave.

Wow 2 1/2 hours is so nice! :cloud9: I've never eaten at Pecos Bill before. Is that the place with the awesome Fixing's bar i've been hearing about?

2 more days! :dance3:

Just a few more days left! I'm so excited! I'm so looking forward to getting into some warm weather, it's cold here. Though not nearly as cold as what it is for you I'm sure!

You must be out-of-your-mind excited right now!!! Your trip is so close! :goodvibes

I AM! :faint::hyper: All of our activities that we're wanting to do on the ship are set, now we just need to do them! :thumbsup2

I can't believe you can't find Vanilla vodka. We have it in our little Ralph's along with every other flavor.

Cosmic Rays is the place with the toppings bar. I've never eaten at Pecos Bills either.

I hope you have a great time, just a few more days! I'm sure it will fly by, but for me it will be agonizingly slow, since my trip is after yours is all over.

Seriously! I can't find it anywhere! I'm going to check Foods Co tonight otherwise I'm not sure where else to look. :confused3

That's the place! I was trying to think of the other name. Good call! :thumbsup2

Any Ralph's will have it, if nothing else you can get it down here and put it in your luggage. There is a Ralph's in Castaic just as soon as you come over the Grapevine and there are tons of other ones scattered around on your way to wherever you go. I don't know of any near Anaheim, but I'm sure there is one in Garden Grove. There is a Food 4 Less near the park and they should have it even there. I wonder why you can't find it in Tulare. :scratchin

Ladies, Pecos Bill has a fabulous fixings bar also! We discovered the taco salads on the last trip and they were great. It comes with beef but we get it without. The fixings bar has all the regular burger things but also nacho cheese, mushrooms, and fried onions. It was a nice change from all the usual park fare.

I hope you're able to find your vanilla vodka. Otherwise it sounds like you're all ready to go. :cool1:

That was our other option, waiting until we get down there. That's probably what we will end up doing.

I know why we can't find it in Tulare: Tulare SUCKS!

I hope we find it too! Ginger ale and vanilla vodka goes great together :cloud9:

Just in case I don't get back on here tomorrow, safe travels and have a magnificent trip!!!

I don't know that it SUCKS! It's just different. And small....

I'll have to try Pecos Bills sometime, based on the menu on Allears it didn't sound all that appealing, but perhaps it deserves a look and a try!

Having trouble finding a bottle of vanilla rum? Take a bottle of rum with some pure vanilla extract and make your own:rotfl2::rotfl2:or ask we tried in college take some very cheap vodka and add rum flavoring to it to make rum for daquiris. We had some very drunk college students!!!Yes I love to cook and we had flavoring so that we could make something...cause who has rum flavoring in their dorm room (me along time ago!!):rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
