We are going on our second Disney Cruise. Myself (chris), DW Stacy, DD Rebecca (8) and FIL Seymour. The first one was Eastern Caribbean and it was great. Anyone cruising this itinerary for the second time? We were wondering about what type of Shore Excusions Disney may be offering. Looking forward to this cruise as we are only 469 days away.:cool1:

Hi Mr. Pink! We're booked on this cruise as well. We're Dad (Dana), Mom (Holly), DD Emma (7, soon to be 8) and DD Hannah (5, soon to be 6). We just got off the Magic on the Eastern Caribbean itinerary.

Mom and Dad did a Carnival cruise to the Mexican Riviera and expect the excursions to be similar. We ziplined in Puerto Vallarta and went to Deer Island off Matzatlan (think Castaway Cay with zero infrastructure). The Pacifico brewery is in Matzatlan and has a tour. I expect we will probably take the kids on an excursion to the interior at Puerto Vallarta as when we docked you could see Walmart from the ship. (Not the best of ports.)

Anyway, I'm sure Disney will put out more info the closer we get.

We loved the Eastern Caribbean cruise we took in Oct last year. It was the main reason we rebooked on this cruise. We thought of trying a different cruise line but we felt that it would only be a disappointment given the experience we had on the Magic. Only 11 months til we're back on the boat.

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica

We just booked this cruise today. It will be me, DH, DS (14) and DS (2).

Very excited!!

Hi all,
We just booked this sailing as well. It will be our 2nd Disney cruise if we end up going. We will have to monitor our finances  and hopefully it will work out. We also have a res. on the Dream for July 2011 for our Anniversary so we hope we can do both cruises.

We did a MR spring break cruise in 2009 on RCL so we are looking forward to going back and exploring the ports.

Monica:

Thank you for the kind offer of info! We have friends from Mazatlan and love it there! We hope Disney does a Deer Island excursion.

BasketRN and CruisinEars:

Welcome and we hope you make it!

:happytv: My hubby has been on youtube all weekend watching dcl and wonder videos. He is so funny.:rotfl2: Even though we have been on a DCL, it was our very first cruise so he just wants to make sure we will enjoy Disney again. (We are BIG Disney fans though). I think we are pretty set on making this cruise work in our budget. My kids have spring break from Mar 28-Apr 6 so we just have to do a cruise.;) My only concern is that we are on 2nd seating and waitlisted for main. We really need main since my dh is a very early to bed kinda guy and at home we eat dinner by 5pm. We are open to cross referencing with another family too.

The last time we were in PV, we did the Marigalante Pirate Ship. We booked it separately from the cruise line and paid a much better price. It is the exact same as the ship excursion since the ship ex. people were on the same boat. So no worries about missing the ship etc. We had a really good time. They fed us and took us to a private beach and had games for us. We would totally recommend that experience. We won't do it again since we have yet to see PV.

We will be sailing the 3/27 MR in 2011. I am the Granny of Maddi (9) and Aaron (5), and will be sailing with their mom and aunt (my daughters). We sailed the 4 day Wonder back in Feb 2009.

We have been to the MR ports many times on land tours, so we know what to expect. I have to say, it's much nicer than it used to be, based on websites I've been looking at. Our plans are; Puerto Vallarta we are going to Las Caletas for the day and The Cheeky Monkey for snacks and drinks afterwards. Matazlan we are going horseback riding on Stone Island with Randi's Happy Horses, having lunch and drinks at Victor's and let the kids play in the water. In Cabo, the kids will stay in their clubs while we shop, lunch, enjoy margaritas and the ocean at The Office.

We loved our Disney cruise and can't wait for next year!:cheer2:

Mazatlanmonica,

Can you answer a question for me? Does Victor's on Stone Island (or any restaurant) serve hard liquor? I don't drink beer, but I surely drink margaritas! Some people on these boards say that there is no liquor on Stone Island. What's the truth, can you tell me?

Thank you so much, I can't wait to come back to your city!:cool1:

Welcome :wizard:! Glad you have found us and joined our group. I see that this is your first post. Don't hesitate to ask questions and for sure read the DCL forum for additional help.

thanks for the welcome. I did a lot of research before deciding which cruise to book. Now that I've booked it I am and I continue to find out more about DCL I am very glad I booked them.

Basketrn- I see you're in the same boat as we are with a 2 and a 14 year old...have you taken your younger one on any of your previous cruises? How'd that work out?
