Does anyone know where in WDW one can get Mexican Friend icecream, its my DH favorite dessert and I know how much he would love to try it there.

I am not 100% sure about it but.....but possibly san angel inn(the sit down rest. in Mexico) in epcot? I think I remember seeing this on the dessert menu but the dessert menu is not on allears net so can anyone else verify this?

I havent eatten there since 2003 but I do remember it being on the dessert menu, best thing to do is call if it is the make or break reason for dining at San Angel Inn.

I also haven't eaten dinner there in two years but I think that I had it there then.

I used to have a copy cat type recipe to make Chi Chi's "fried" ice cream. The fried is in quotes because they don't actually fry it.

I don't know exactly how anymore, but you take vanilla ice cream frozen as cold as you can get and form it into a ball with your hands. You roll the ball in crushed corn flakes mixed with sugar & cinnamon. Top it with chocolate, strawberry, & caramel.

Oh, and you also take a tortilla and fry it in a skillet until it's crisp and then sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar mix, but we always skipped that part.

It tasted just like the stuff you got at Chi Chi's!
