Here in NJ/NY, the papers are still dominated by them even though they're out of the playoffs. And a news conference to announce a coach is coming back next year? Only from the yankees.

As a proud Mets fan of many many years (over 30), I must say I was pissed yesterday. It's bad enough the crap I've had to take from my Yankee fan cousins, but when the Mets were pushed off the back & front pages by that........I really think it was a ploy to get all the coverage. George may have wanted to fire him right after the game on Saturday, but he was talked out of it right away. But when he saw he got all the coverage on Sunday, he let it drag on a little longer.

But tonight, the Mets are playing a baseball game. The Yankees are not. This is sweet.

Not tonight. Just me & dad. But Saturday night I'll be watching on the big screen TV at my sister's with my nieces & my dad so that will be kind of a party!

Commuting back home from work today was a Mets fan's dream come true. penn station in NY was crawwwwlllinnnggg with fans going to the game. I've never seen so many met fans in one place.

And not a yankee fan in sight!!!
