MetroJet

WE talked to USAir/Metrojet on Monday. The rep on the phone said MetroJet will continue to exist but we redo the routes. We had/have a Metrojet flight in March that wasn't cancelled to MHT, although they discontinued MHT/BWI routes. We did have a DIRECT flight out of BOS cancelled as the seem to have cut direct routes.

How about a MetroJet flight out of LaGuardia 11/7?
(will it be MetroJet or US Air?)

:( I had Metrojet flights to MCO from Boston for December. My direct flights were cancelled and we were put on a USAir flight that had connections. I got them to refund our money because we didn't want to race from gate to gate to catch flights. The agent I spoke to said there would be no more dirct flights, because as of December MEtrojet would be gone. She didn't know when in December this would happen, but the faze out is starting now. I am now on AA with direct flights both ways. If this is important to you keep checking your flights and ask them to refund your money if you get connecting flights. Sorry to bear bad news.

I reconfirmed my flights on Saturday and they assured me that
the outgoing flight is changed (15 min. later) and the return
flight is 10 min earlier than originally scheduled. I will keep
checking on a weekly basis until Nov 7, when we leave.

Until then, I am keeping me fingers crossed.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

Good luck :) They assured us when we called 4 days ago that our direct flights from Boston to Orlando were still on, and I just checked tonight and they are off the schedule and we were rebooked. :)

When you were rebooked, did they charge you extra (if
the new flight was at a higher price) and were you given
the option of choosing another non-stop flight?

There are no more non-stop flights that go from Boston to MCO, so I was not given a choice. I booked on the website, so they automatically rebooked me on new flights. I plan to call customer service tomorrow to try and get better rebookings, the ones they gave us suck (arriving too late in Florida and leaving too early to go home).

Yes, that does s**k! I'll keep my fingers crossed
that you have better luck tomorrow changing
your flights. Otherwise, you will lose 2 Disney days!
:smooth:

:) Don't worry about being charged to rebook. There is no fee. Also if you don't like what they give you ask for a refund. I did this. They put us on connecting flights which we didn't want, so I researched other non-stop flights and got on an AA flight non-stop both ways for less money than the USAir flights. Refunds are easy too. If you have E-tickets you do it over the phone. If you have paper tickets you can mail them in for a refund. They give you the address. Just be sure you have researched what flights are available before you cancel your old flights. ;)
