Metro New Orleans DISers - check in!!! - Part II

Hey y'all!

Kathy- Sorry about the ex-coworker situation. Sometimes you think you know someone, and you really don't. You sound like you'd be a great boss! (I still wish I could've taken that job!)

I'm up for eating on April 12th- I'm never one to turn down a meal! I would prefer just us girls so DH could babysit- it complicates things more when I have to find a sitter.

I let DH know last night that he was going to Disney World via an email at work! :rotfl: I titled it "Pack your bags...because you're going to Disney World!" He wasn't really surprised though- he knows what a WDW addict I am. :teeth: ::MickeyMo

Okay, Lorie wants food! :goodvibes

Lunch or dinner? Fancy or not so fancy? The FQ Fest is that weekend so if we're just getting together for a meal, we'll probably have to avoid the Quarter.

Since I'm not definite I'll go along with whatever y'all decide on. I'm always up for a meal that I don't have to cook!

awwwww, wish i wasn't working!!:guilty: I'd love a girls day out with some fellow Disneyphiles.

Lori

Hoping Lisa (LouDisney) stops by:

Guys - DD and I are going to Orlando the 1st week of June with my sister and her family(6). We are renting a 5 bedroom home in Windsor Hills which has a pool. We are planning to be @ Disney for 2 days, one @ a beach, one @ sea world and I am not sure where else.

I am so excited. I just rented a Suburban for $700.:woohoo:

:cool1: Terry, that sounds like a fun trip! Are you renting the suburban for the drive to Orlando?

Hey y'all!

Happy Birthday Lisa! pixiedust: :bday:

Terry- Sounds like a fun trip! Would you consider spending the other day at Universal (gasp! that other place! )? We had lots of fun there when we went.

Crazy day over here! We had a dr appt for Sienna (2 yr checkup) and on the way out discovered that the battery was dead in my car. :headache: Thank goodness DH was home, because I had to quickly put the car seat in his car and was only 5 minutes late to the appt. She had one shot and was very good with the dr- very healthy girl.

Contractor is here now doing some work, so I'm stuck here for awhile. :surfweb: Dh is charging the car battery now- hopefully I won't need a new one.

Oh, and I'm running on very little sleep- we took Sienna's binky away last night. It was rough, she cried the entire night! (I told her the binky went bye-bye because he had to go to work...:rotfl: ) DH and I took shifts laying down with her, trying to calm her down. She hasn't had the binky in awhile during the daytime, only at night, but boy is she attached to that thing. I'm trying to get her to take a nap now (with no binky)- I bribed her with letting her lay down while watching Shrek. Hopefully that works!

Just asking for prayers for my dog Sammie - here's what I posted earlier and just now:

Just when I think things can't get worse - they do. When I left for work this morning my dog Sammie was trembling. I called a friend to go and check on her for me mid-morning. She found her lying on the floor as stiff as a board and she'd thrown up. If any of you have a prayer to spare for my girl please do. My friend brought her to the vet and they are checking her out now. She's an old gal but I really need her to get through this.:sad1:

Just got back from the vet, they let me spend about an hour with her. They had to give her some valium because what happened this morning was a seizure and she'd already had another one by the time i got to the vet's office. The blood work showed some problems with her liver and her thyroid. Whether or not she can be treated depends on how this afternoon goes. If she continues to have seizures this afternoon, due to her age, they suggest we put her down. My heart is just breaking.:sad1:

Kathy, I was just getting typing a post to ask everyone to pray for you & Sammie! I am so sorry! How old is Sammie? I'm praying she gets through this. I know this is a lot for you to handle right now! :flower3:

Whew, What a day for you! I'm tired just reading about it! Alexis's "noonies" all mysteriously were split. Something her Mom read about, putting a slit in them was supposed to not produce the same "sucking" effect & wean them off of it. :sad2: Didn't work. All it did was make her whine & cry for a new noonie! Then they all just disappeared. But somehow she kept managing to find one in her toys. It took about a week of practically no sleep for anyone. Nights were really bad & naps too. I hope Sienna does better with it, than Alexis did! :grouphug: for all of you!

I almost went the binky splitting route, then thought it best to just take them away completely. Like Alexis, I knew DD would just cry for a new one. She really isn't a "wean off" kind of girl I've found, it's best just to take away from her altogether. A whole week, huh? I sure hope it doesn't take that long- I won't survive! :faint:

Kathy, lots of prayers for your fur baby. Doesn't matter how old they are you are never ready to lose them. I hope she pulls through.
