Hey y'all! Starting quoting & typing before I noticed we have a new thread!

Wow that was some game! We had family over for a small superbowl party. And what a SUPERbowl it was! That pass & catch has got to go down in history! So happy another Manning won a superbowl! Almost as good as the Saints in the Superbowl, but not really.

Mrs. Kreamer, Sorry your boy is so sick! Prayers for his quick recovery!


Well we booked another trip! Our F&W trip for Oct. 26th! But guess who's coming along on our F&W trip? Yeah my cutie & her Mom & Dad! We did book separate rooms, but they wanted to go around Halloween & we wanted F&W, soo... SIL & BIL are scrambling for sitters when I take off, so it's easier this way. We also booked a trip for them in May, but have decided not to go with them. Too hot for me, then. But I'm sure I'll be sorry to miss any of the cuteness!

If anyone else is interested will be going Oct 26th- 31st.

Sheryl- That is so awesome- another trip! If we still don't have baby #2 on the way by then sad2: ) then that is the week we were maybe looking at going if finances work out. I've always wanted to be there on Halloween day! Of course, I'd rather have the second baby, but Disney wouldn't be a bad alternative if that doesn't pan out.

Ok, I know some of you have teenagers, so let me ask-

My niece is 16 and asks to come over now and then. She's coming over on Wednesday. Thing is, I don't know what to do with her . Before DD, I would take her to the movies, but that's not possible with DD anymore. So we just hang around here and watch Sienna run around. She always looks perpetually bored, even when we would go out and do things. Is that just a teenager thing, always looking bored? I'm not that old, but I just don't remember the constant bored look when I was a teenager. Of course, my mother might disagree.

She's probably glued to her cell phone, while she's looking bored. Girls are so much different from boys, so I'm no expert. Maybe rent some teen movies or an outing to the mall??

I figure that if she were really bored, she wouldn't keep asking to come over. She acts really excited when making the arrangements, then when she's here, out comes the bored look. Maybe it's the "teenager uniform". I always ask her ahead of time what she wants to do, and she says "I don't know, whatever is fine...". I just wish she'd throw me a bone, KWIM? I think I'll try lunch this time, then maybe a little shopping- I'll ask her opinion on decorating Sienna's room- she might like that.

You're right she wouldn't keep asking to come over if she was really bored - she's just in "teenage mode".

Sheryl- we may need to do a F&WF NOLA meet again! I think we'll be there about that time again too.

We're also thinking about the Podcast cruise in May 2009. Rick's never been on a cruise before and I haven't been since I was a 'tweener. I've wanted to do a Disney one forever.

I'm so glad you found us!! I agree about the boards running faster, it's not a big issue on this thread but on the WFD thread we need our recipes back!

It's just anther day for me, Johnny is working and Kyle is sleeping. He has been parading non-stop since Friday and he's exhausted. I'm fixing Creamy Italian Chicken in the crock-pot with Lemon Parmesan Broccoli!!

MsMarigny - sounds like bored teenager syndrome to me. I like the idea of asking her input on decorating Sienna's room. Any small projects she could help out with where you need a 2nd set of hands (or eyes) like hanging pictures? Is she in to cooking? Maybe she could help out with lunch or dinner?

Kathy - Great pics of the Manning boys! Betcha Olivia's one proud Mama! Wonder if the summer QB camp at Nicholls is sold out yet? Two Superbowl MVP's on the program---that'll be a tough ticket to get!

Sheryl- I'm jealous you're getting to do another F&W. Wish we could head out in October, but with school, it's not possible. We'll be there during the Flower & Garden fest, however, so I'm not all that disappointed.
