Cara, That must have been so scary for Logan & Mom! I am thankful that he is okay!

Lori, I pray that Haley starts feeling better soon!

Kathy, I hope your ankle starts to get better!

Lorie, I am sad that y'all are going through this. You got some great advice here & I don't think you need any from me. Just know that I'll be praying that the changes all work out for the best! Wow Erik is a little chubba-chubba! I can't believe he's so big already!

Jamie, A possible split with your husband is hardly trivial! Please know that you can come moan & complain here anytime.

They have found the culprit that's been making our girl so sick. It is c-diff bacteria. I don't know if I explained that here or not. It was brought on by all the antibiotics she was on after surgery. It's strange that to get rid of it, they have to give more antibiotics plus probiotics to build up the good bacteria. We don't know when she'll be released yet. The surgeon (who is not actually her dr for this) is the one that came tell Chris last night. The internist didn't bother to come by to tell her! We are really worried about the amount of school she's missing. Chris will have to talk to the Principal about it. We're hoping as long as her grades stay up that they will promote her at the end of the year.

Thank goodness, they found the problem! As long as you have excuses from her doctors and her grades are good, there should be no problem with her promotion. If Chris is too busy with Alexis, maybe you could call the school to give them a heads up on this most recent hospitalization. That way the school is "in the loop".

Latest update: The doctors will have a meeting today to discuss when they can send her home. One of them feels it's too serious to not have round the clock monitoring, another seems to think it could be handled at home.

Glad that they know the cause and its treatable with meds. Hopefully she'll feel better soon, and she won't have to spend too much more time in the hospital. Try not to worry too much about school. Erin had several years where she missed more than the "allowed number of days", but because she was under doctor's care and her grades were good, they allowed her to move up. Julie is right, just keep the school in the loop.

Lorie - You've gotten all the good advice, so I don't have anything to add. I'm sure everything will work out. A less stressed DH has got to be a good thing! Wow on Erik - what a big boy! How's Sienna doing with all the baby changes? Still good I hope!

Cara - I hope Logan is doing okay. Choking is so scary for all involved.

Jamie - I so can understand your situation. I've been in your shoes and there have been SEVERAL times where I came close to leaving DH because of his job situation (and lack thereof).
My DD is in a situation with her boyfriend/fiance where he can't (or won't) find a job. To make a long story short - she moved home so she could go back to school and they were supposed to break it off for a while, but they see each other every day. DH doesn't like him because of it and while I'm not happy either, I really want to slap him sometimes and remind him that she grew up with a Dad that didn't do much to support us financially, so where does he think she learned to put up with it?!!!

Wow - Kathy, single digits!! I know you must be excited! I will be living vicariously thru you on this trip, so take lots of pics and be ready to give a full report when you return

Alexis update! Good news! Her white blood cell count is 7!!! Still discussing if they are going to let her out.

BUT they are also checking CDC regulations on return to school.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've just been feeling like a wet dish rag the last two days. My stomach has been upset and I'm very congested. I will go back a few pages and catch up.

BUT they are also checking CDC regulations on return to school.

Jamie - I am in the same place with my DH also... just can't afford for him to move out. the money isn't coming in and he thinks he is going to write a book or do some pie in the sky thing. great to have dreams but fairy dust ain't paying my bills feels like a roommate without benefits....it is hard but I am glad to have you gals and other friends to lean on. hugs and hope it turns around for you guys.

woke up hurting again today - i think it is stress in my neck and sinuses. have to go pick up the meds since i was too tired to get them last night.

we are thinking about going to some Red Bluff place in Folsom on 10/24 some friends and i - forgot if it is a pumpkin patch or has activities for Halloween....maybe I can see some of you Northshore gals that day

Had a huge scare this afternoon....Johnny's blood pressure was 200/110, he started on a new bp med this week. He had to leave work and go to the Dr and thank God it was a medication issue, he didn't follow the Dr's directions....Whewwwwwww, big scare.

Red Bluff farms is having thier pumpkin fest for 3 weekends- it is a lot of fun! It is this weekend and the next 2.(10th, 17th,24th). Look for the guy selling honey- that is my bugman. You can tell him my name, I am prettty sure he'll know me- I am roachaphobic! I also buy lots of honey from him. It's local, fresh, and good for allergies! Mostly just yum. He harvests it himself. He is a true country boy from Bush! He cracks me up with his stories and he was a marine at one time. His name is Dale McIntyre. He and his wife and kids have been to WDW a few times too! Oh no! I am gonna miss my bugman!!


Haley is back to normal!! WE kept her home tonight from choir(they sang for dinner tonight) and shes mad-so that, to ME, means she is back!

I wasn't sure our gals could handle much more bad news! Glad Alexis is going home!!!

Jamie and Kristina- sorry for your situations-you all are in my prayers for BETTER days

Thanks for all the concern my dear friends, he's feeling OK. It was a big scare but all seems well now. I did my online check-in a bit earlier for our trip!
