A cheaper alternative to Wii TSM might be Wii Carnival Games.

The Wii I purchased came with some sports game- but I suppose that is not the same?
I didn't know you could RENT games!!!!
(once again, we are game illiterate as we have never had one. My kids have a DS and that's it!) What a great way to try it out before buying!

Oooh - I forgot about Wii Carnival! The boys do love that one, and actually said it reminded them of TSM.

The Wii Sports that comes with the console is different than Wii Sports Resort. Same ideas, just different fun games & challenges.

I keep forgetting about renting games. Friends of ours also seem to have a good deal going by taking advantage of trade-ins at places like Game Stop & Play-n-Trade. Of course, they spend a whole lot more $$ than we do on games, so they actually have stuff to trade. You might want to check these places out for deals on used games, however.

I just got an email telling me I need to write a letter of resignation to the NYC Department of Education. I DID that already....three times actually....but now I have to do it again because they didn't like the way it was worded.

How about this..... "I QUIT!"
But then again, they do owe you money, so you might ought to follow those mysterious standards & practices.

So, I bought a second one and it works but I feel really bad today, so I'll try to print it our either later today if I feel better or tomorrow.

2 girls at work just called to see if I could come in b/c they have it too.
I cannot though, we have too much going on with school today to miss. And that is just as ,if not MORE, important. And we missed bunch yesterday to show the house. Showing the house is getting old, but am glad we are having traffic.

Ya know I was wondering the same (about GW). She was my info source for schools in my area. She'd always say when the kids were out of school and I'd know I could leave a little later in the mornings

Hi!

I know, I know, my location says Texas and I can feel the evil stares. But, I am from NOLA (when I was born we lived in Gentilly and then we moved to Kenner when I was about 4). I twice graduated from LSU (once wasn't enough) and moved to Texas (a second S was about to slip in there again) because after I graduated the second time that's where my job was. Hoping to come back home sometime in the not too distant future, but we'll see how that goes.

Hi everyone! (I posted on the NOLA board a while back, but we were finally JUST able to move back to NOLA. -It's the 1st time that we've been able to move back since evacuating for Katrina.- And, we are SO happy to be home!) I just saw on the 1st page that you're getting together on Saturday. When/where will everyone meet? I'd love to join & put some faces with DISboard names. Plus, we should be finished unloading our POD Friday night, so I won't feel bad deserting DH while moving. I also found this (click here to open link)& wanted to share. It looks like Disney will have an art exhibit at NOMA from Nov - March. I always get sucked into the animation area at DHS, so this is a "definite" for me & I'm hoping that I can convince DH to come too by promising a trip afterwards to Liuzza's.

Well I had my Christmas Club money all planned out on what I would buy with it but then reality hit and the adult in me kicked in...all $1300.00 of it was recieved today and was spent on BILLS!!!! I really hope the tide turns around for DH and he finds a full time job.

I hope I didn't quote wrong- it's just that I saw she said that she had to be out unexpectedly after 9 years there. Anyway- she needs some good thoughts and prayers, I think!

I called NOMA today regarding field trips and details aren't out yet. There WILL, however, be an audio tour specific to the Disney exhibit! They also said that NOMA was the only scheduled museum for this exhibit!
