If you choose to purchase PH tickets at the gate what forms of payment does Disney accept? I've been searching and searching and can't find the answer.

they will take pretty much anything you would want to pay with. cash, travelers checks, credit cards, disney reward cards, disney dollars. Not sure if there is anything that they won't take.

I'm assuming no personal checks, correct? I have a friend who is staying offsite with relatives and doesen't have any cc.

1) Disney accepts
. . . The American Express Card,
. . . Discover,
. . . MasterCard,
. . . Visa,
. . . JCB (Japanese credit card)
. . . Dinner's Club
. . . Traveler's checks,
. . . Cash,
. . . Personal Checks

2) Personal Check Rules (except for restaurants)
. . . name and address must be preprinted on the front by bank
. . . address must match your driver's license
. . . must provide phone number
. . . payable to Walt Disney World Company
. . . for the exact amount of the purchase
. . . date must be accurate
. . . written and numerical numbers must match
. . . photo ID is required
. . . valid credit card or debit card required for id

3) If she order tickets through CRO, she can send check in advance.
4) This way, not id required.

Thanks so much Rusty Scupper. By the way, I love your spreadsheet!

Hard to believe that in the early 80's Disney only accepted VISA. No MC,No AMEX, nothing but VISA.

Then for a while they took everything EXCEPT Discover and then a few years ago they started accepting them all.

I wish they would go back to the AMEX card being the official card of WDW. amex HAS THE BEST PERKS.

I have done cash. Depending on the amount, I may be worried about the cash carrying, and then if something happened to it.

Could she possibly get a secured credit card from her bank?

Also, could her bank give her traveler's checks?

About the only thing they won't take is livestock. ;)

1) If they could figure out an exchange rate, I am sure they would do it.
2) Disney tries to make spending money so easy and so effortless.
3) Are they great?!

This was an unplanned trip so she's scrambling for cash.

She has a debit card and could use that to get money if she has to. I'm just trying to give her all her options. She'll figure out how she wants to do it.

Or go back to the early 70's when all tickets purchased at the TTC were cash or Traveler's Checks only. ;)
