I would appreciate some feedback on the right equipment and settings for nighttime events at Disney World. The body I'll be using is either a Sony A300 or A550. Both include in-body image stabilization, but the A550 has much better low light sensitivity (I may rent one for that reason). I will be visiting in mid-July. Here are the equipment and settings I am considering:

Main Street Electrical Parade: Tamron 17/50 f/2.8 lens; center weighted, -1/3 or -2/3 exposure compensation, ISO 800 or 1600, and either A mode (f/2.8) or S mode (1/60).

Fantasmic: Sony 50mm f/1.4 lens; center weighted, -1/3 or -2/3, ISO 800 or 1600, either A mode (f/1.4) or S mode (1/60).

Fireworks: Carl Zeiss 16-80 f/3.5 lens + tripod; manual mode; ISO 100, 15 sec exposure; modify aperture as needed for proper exposure. I could also use bulb mode–I have a remote trigger.

I really don't get much practice with night shots like this but would like to get some nice pictures on this trip. I haven't seen the main st. electrical parade before (only spectromagic). I'm guessing the illumination levels are similar? I appreciate any tips/suggestions folks can offer :)
