Well, I posted before about my teeny tiny apartment problem. That still hasn't been solved, since Housing won't take out the huge kitchen table, but I'm having my dad come tomorrow with his power tools to dismantle the thing.
Now I have something NEW to complain about!
My roommate is great, but she comes from a "priveleged" family with a live-in housekeeper and has never had to pick up after herself. So, when she comes to school, there's no housekeeper but she STILL can't seem to clean up anything! She drops popcorn, it stays on the floor for months. She takes off her nail polish and leaves dirty cotton balls everywhere. I don't mind a mess... my room at home isn't exactly organized
but being dirty is another thing entirely!
I vacuum and clean my half of the room all the time, because I'm much more relaxed if I have a clean living space. I just don't know how to get her to clean what she's responsible for! I've asked countless times and it's always "yeah, sure, I'm just really busy until next Wednesday so I'll do it then". I've gone so far as to put her dirty dishes in her bed after she hasn't washed them for a week or so. That got her attention.
What are your strategies for dealing with a messy roommate?
