Meshing Disability Card and FP+

I'm attending a conference and there will be families wanting to visit Disney and need information about how to navigate. I've never done FP+and have no idea how to explain how the two combine.

Is there an easy explanation?

I would explain the two systems separately, since they're totally different things. From there I'd just tell them to try and get DAS times in the area of their FP+. Using a map would probably be helpful.
