Anyone hear of confirmed Merry Member Mixer dates for 2008 yet?

Friday is a bummer - I was hoping for Thursdays. We are leaving on Friday the 5th and will probably not be able to make it depending on what time our bus leaves for the airport! Wish we were staying at one of the Epcot resorts instead of SSR - then at least we wouldn't have to allow so much time to travel back to SSR!

It was fun to go last year and DD was very happy to get a pin.

Interesting...I've heard Friday on the boards, however, when I called MS this morning, they said nothing had been released yet.....there isn't any info on the dvc member site either.....I think there's an MS conspiracy going on!

Because Christmas is on a Thursday this year.

I received an email from MS (in response to mine) that confirmed that the MMMs will be on Fridays this year, from 3-5pm.

Can you provide a link (realize it's password protected) - because I've been checking all the time and just did again and I don't see any dates posted. Perhaps there's a screen I'm missing?

Once logged in the DVCmember website, click on member priveleges in the upper link bar. Once in that link, scroll down to Member Merry Mixer info.

Thanks, but that's where I went -- no dates.

Specifically, Member Privileges (main page) --> Member Special Events --> Member Merry Mixer (no dates here on this page), and if you click on the title of Member Merry Mixer, it takes you to an individual page -- still no dates, just says "every week in December"!

And just so you know, I'm not trying to be a pain - I've just been waiting for it to show up on the website!

Friday leaves us out too. Darn! Since many DVC'rs stay Sun - Thurs nights, there may be light turnout on a Friday night.

We were really looking forward to attending this year. Our plans were set for Epcot on Thursday and it would have been perfect. But we'll be flying out on Friday so no luck for us either.

Probably, what they do know is that many of us choose NOT to stay Fridays because of the points Fridays and Saturdays use. Cheaper if less people go.

Personally, I'm thrilled it's a Friday! We always stay Fri-Tues during December and I can finally get to one!

Bummer - I was looking forward to a Thursday mixer since I will also be checking out on Friday. I guess I'll have to reallocate that Thursday afternoon time to drinking around the world at EPCOT.
