Merry Mixer was fun!

We went to the one on the 2nd. Loved the iced rice krispie treats they gave out enough that we bought more when we found them in the stores at $4 a pop. Entertainment was fun. It was a nice way to spend an hour or so.
Only wish they had more chairs.

My husband and I were there today and saw Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The music and games were a lot of fun. We enjoy this event every year.

Awwww. I didn't want to walk around going, "Are you on the DIS?" Lol. I walked around but didn't see any obvious signs of any DISers.

We were there today! Got to see Bobbiewoz, DVC_john, and Ray Sharpton. We went to the far left corner like we said we would and met at a table back there. I did take a couple of pictures of our group, but haven't downloaded them just yet. I'll come back later and do that.

Awwww....as Diane mentions, she had suggested we meet in the far left corner...it worked! We even had a table to sit around! Let's try to do this again next year!

I met a few members who were there because Cast Members alerted them to the fact they would be there for a Merry Mixer. If you go to WDW between Thanksgiving and Christmas, keep an eye here and on DVC website for news about the Merry Mixer!

We were there on the 9th. We flew home that night, so we checked out in the morning.....and it was warm that day! Not having a room to go back to, it was a nice break in the day.....got the kids and us a nice drink, and the kids really enjoyed the crafts in the back. We filled out the papers for whatever raffle they had.....what exactly were they raffling off?

How do we get our pictures that were taken at the Mixer? I thought they would be on my PhotoPass.

On a related note, I thought I was told last year that you could download the photos for free. Anyone know anything about that? Seems like the only option this year is to pay for it.

Mixer photos are not free and are not part of photopass. I believe this changed in 2011 (or maybe even in 2010. I know they were on photopass in 2009).

I was very disappointed in 2011 when I saw how much they cost and this year, when I saw Disney Photography was taking the pictures again, we didn't even bother to get in line to get one. IMO, the prices they charge are too expensive. I wish they'd go back to the photopass photographers.

Yeah, I was disappointed as well. I had them take pics with my camera, but as usual, they came out like crap. :/ So I went onto the site and ordered one picture... $15.00!!!!

I want to know where the pics are that the guy walking around was taking?? He was from Disney too. Did anyone see him? Just taking the candids. My son was up on "stage" during the event and I would love to see if he got any pictures.

How do you get those?

I just went and looked at ours. While they're nice, not sure I want to spend 9.50 per picture plus 4.95 to ship. I wouldn't mind a couple of dollars for a digital download.....
