This is definitely the warmest December I can ever remember. I've got a suitcase full of jeans and sweatshirts! LOL
Can you walk to Disney Springs from your resort?

Thanks for pointing it out, I was literally just wondering that when I had gotten to your post.
We are going back to Disney Springs today for lunch and shopping. Last night I went to visit a friend at the GF and tonight I'm possibly going to a park if the traffic isn't too bad. Last night just trying to get to the GF was insane. There was a wreck right in front of the wedding pavilion entrance and traffic was backed up. I have seen so many horrible wrecks the last few days. Yesterday we saw a multi car pile up on I-4 with a car on its side and one in a tree! The traffic was backed up for miles and miles with people just sitting outside of their cars on the guard rails with no way of getting past. Horrible!!! This is why you stay in Disney owned hotels and take Magical Express to and from the airport! I preach that to people all the time, especially during holidays and peak times, because it's sooooo worth the money. Even though I'm a stone's throw from the parks here at the Wyndham I feel like I can't go anywhere. I'm looking forward to getting to Pop this weekend!!! 
I loved Iluminations with the holiday version. We saw it literally by accident leaving Via Napoli this past trip It was drilling and the park was totally empty. Even getting back on the monorail we found seats! Happy New Year if I don't get back on the boards before NYE!! You'll get to see NYE Wishes from WBC right

After eating at the Boathouse again, which is fast becoming my regular hangout we shopped Disney Springs and then drove over to the Poly. I wanted to show Mom the new Trader Sam's. The gate attendant told us no self park allowed today due to the holiday so I said that's fine I'll just valet. No big deal. So we spent some time at the Poly, shopped Boutiqui, went to Trader Sam's, walked down to the Poly beach, I showed Mom the new bungalows, and new pool and jacuzzi area. Then we hopped the monorail and went over to the GF. Bought some gingerbread, watched the EWP, then took the boat back to the Poly. It was fun! When we got back to the valet I was all set to pay my $25 and they asked if we had dined with TIW. I said no, we didn't dine but I do have TIW. They said great, lets see your card. So I showed them my card and the valet was free! Wasn't that so nice of them?? 
It would have never even occurred to me to mention TIW since we weren't eating dinner there, I guess they just felt like being super nice.

Now we are back to Wyndham and ready for our awesome view of NYE fireworks from MK and Epcot! I love how they do them two nights in a row.

Hanging out at the Polynesian then hopping on the monorail to GF then boating back to Poly sounds like so much fun!
Very cool that you did not have to pay for valet parking.
I must put the Boathouse on my list to try out because if you like hanging out there it must be a happening place.
Evidently you did not inherit your love of Disney from your mom!I would love to be in the parks but I feel guilty if I leave Mom here alone. Plus I'm always in the parks so it's fine.
But I did tell her I think she should go to at least a couple of parks next week. To see some new things.
