Merry Christmas and Some Other Thoughts

All -
I just feel the need to tell all of you Merry Christmas and Hope you have a new year filled with love, happiness and peace.

It sounds so odd to say (and even admit) that an internet site has had such an impact to my life, but - this one really did.

Watching people who didn't always even know each other reach out to those in need and offer words and acts of kindness have restored my diminished faith in others. Whether words of sympathy to the Page Family, acts of kindness to people looking for stuffed Angel dogs, post cards to bring sunshine to children, pictures of the ship as it passes by port, generous offers of time putting special baskets together, traveling distances to visit with a family who has become good friends... and I could go on for days. The kindness is overwhelming. I hope you all know that God is looking down on you all and smiling.

In our sad days and our happy days the bond between members on this board has grown so strong. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have found this family.

To each of you, my sincerest thanks...not only for all your help and advice but also for touching my life in a way you might never quite understand.

My feelings exactly, it will be one year next month since I joined the DIS Family, and boy how my life has been changed by this board!!!

Don't forget the Very Merry Christmas Parade on ABC at 11am eastern, 10am central and western if my memory serves me right, on Thursday morning, my VCR will be recording.

Some times we get so busy we can't get to see the whole parade, so we record it and watch it later.

This board and the people it has brought together are a special group, who has added to each and everyone of us. Weither it be in our hearts, minds or souls.

Thank you all for enriching my life and those around me and may you all have a wonderful holiday season surrounded by those whom you love and those who love and cherish each of you.

Where else can you go where you can be yourself, not be juged by being rich, poor, fat, skinny, different cultures, different religions, smart, not so quick, old, young, cute, not so cute, name it and it fits - this is the only place other than Heaven, where we are loved just because - no reasons and no whys -
So I agree -----Merry Christmas, Happy everything and most of all what a blessing for the family we are.
